Thais too or other foreigners?
I'm sure it is the same with any city in Germany compared to Zurich.
You should remove the media logos, they are just linking to random articles.
No, that time is over, except maybe in the outside districts. Lots of rooms in the central areas are more expensive than that.
That's exactly my setup. For the past year or even longer I've unsubscribed from basically every automated email that hit my inbox (or off to spam if unsubscribe is behind a login). Additionally I've got a huge list of muted words on twitter, mostly "politics in tech" buzz words. It's a much better experience.
Trying to replace hacker news with a hn newsletter now, but so far not really successful. But well, there are worse things.
If you are doing it right you can put _more_ money in your mutual fund. The idea for lots of people doing it is to earn, for example, a western european income but have eastern european/south east asian living expenses. I live in Zurich and will spend way less money travelling next year than staying at home.
Look up the founders of ALDI and Lidl, among the richest people in the world and there are barely photos of them.
Pretty close to what I'm doing except the travelling/flying part, which is important to me. I don't even like "owning stuff" or subscriptions so I naturally only buy things I can't go without.
For me the only part that is a sacrifice, I guess that would be a "feature" for people who like cooking, is that I basically don't eat out when I'm at home. On the other hand I travel about 2 months a year and I just do that then.
Yes! I save roughly half. I don't plan to live on where I am right now in the future, so basically every month of working means 2-3 months of "not working" in a cheaper location.
Looks nice, I hope you are hiring in around 6 months too :)
Yes! I will probably quit my pretty well-paid job at the end of the year to (slow) travel and work on some SaaS ideas. Basically the worst case is that I have to call it quits and get a another job (if I'm unlucky with less pay). So if you don't have a huge family and/or literally no savings the risk is super low.
Seems expensive for what mostly sounds like basic black hat marketing tricks
It is not too bad if you don't have three kids or something. I would carefully do the math with a family but otherwise it is totally worth it to make the move. If you live in Germany you would probably have to pay German taxes.
Thats what I do. Depending on where you live, taxes are _way_ lower too, offsetting higher cost of living.

Title should be changed to 'Hyperloop One', there are actually multiple Hyperloop startups.

You can check if a pair of coordinates is inside a certain individual area.
Do you hire J-1 interns (frontend)?
I've wrote a little console script that played a cash register sound after a google analytics conversion. We only had a few sales a day though.
Sounds interesting, I'll send you an email. German or English?

Maybe "superagent". Client side and node.
Nice! I'm definitely a fan of the tech scene here, should be a good move.
