why is Apple releasing new products when Siri is falling so short compared to the industry. Make Siri amazing would improve every apple product immensely.

totally agree with this
If this gets good enough, you could imagine your phone periodically tracking body composition and combining it with wearables, bloodwork, glucose, etc. Suddenly some measurements that currently require a clinic and specialized equipment become essentially free and continuous.

...at the same time, giving Google/Apple photos of your body is creepy

I appreciate how the author is explicit about their bias.

This opinion piece is more what he wants to happen rather than what's actually happening on the ground

Just checked out the video...you, my friend, could be a professional voice actor (assuming that job still exists in the future).
Re:Half-Baked Product on Friday July 03, 2026 @08:48AM (#48774383)
Agreed. This could be a story about my last startup... A good reminder.
Great idea! I love the simplicity of this app.
This is great. I need to do audio work this coming week and was dreading Audacity.

My kids would love this.
On a personal note, I wanted to thank the HN community. I’ve been hanging out here for over 15 years. I remember the day I stumbled on HN: I immediately felt at home here. I’ve learned so much from reading HN over the years. I think it’s fair to say that without this community, Brice wouldn’t be what it is today.

Show HN: I built an AI Secretary that schedules meetings for me

I’m Scott, co-founder of brice.ai.Back when I was fundraising for my last company (Forestry.io), I noticed the best VCs all had human assistants to manage their calendars. My calendar was packed and scheduling was a big pain but I couldn’t justify hiring my own assistant. So my co-founder and I built Brice: an AI scheduling assistant you just CC on email ([email protected]). It handles the...

Ask HN: Has anyone used LLMs for basic legal docs?

I'm in Canada and going to set up a new corporation. The legal fees for bylaws, resolutions, etc, are about $2,000 (note: we are going to set up a shareholders' agreement at a later date). We want a fairly standard arrangement and I am under the impression that these docs will be mostly boilerplate.Has anyone used ChatGPT to create these or other legal docs? Am I crazy?

Love this book! Just read it. Must read for parents, IMO.

Re:AI Scheduling for Teams [video] on Tuesday June 17, 2025 @11:54AM (#44300620)
Hi HN! We're Scott and Logan. We're building an AI Agent that schedules meetings for teams from within Slack. Finding a meeting time that works for everyone can be a big pain but Brice has access to everyone's calendar and can book the meeting on your behalf (using context from the Slack conversation).

I'm looking for some feedback on this demo.

Would you use this? Would you actually pay for it? Do you prefer Doodle Polls ;)

Feel free to sign up for early access here at https://brice.ai

Thanks!

What if you're going to the US to participate in YC? Would a B-1 visa be valid?
Well done! Just tested this out and it's great but some feedback:

I couldn't successfully trim my recording. I could get into "trim mode" but couldn't figure out how to do it. That's a really important feature to me and the UX needs a lot of work there.

A feature that I always use with Screen Studio is changing the speed of clips. For example, if I'm typing in the recording, I like to speed it up super fast.

Also, I like the Cursor size/preferences (size, hide when mouse isn't moving, etc)

A feature that is missing from SS is: I can't insert title cards or my own clips. I kinda wish it took video editing to the next level and allowed me to insert other clips or title cards.

I'm still not happy with Screen Studio's pricing change.

Good luck!
