I don't disagree that he could have handled it better. Hell, he's a horrible debater. I'm sure in part because he's not a career politician and in part because he's arrogant and not used to being questioned. But the idea that he could have said anything that would "shut everyone up" is absurd and we both know it. CNN was caught on tape admitting that they made up stories about Trump and portrayed Biden in a positive light every time they could.

When asked to denounce he said sure I will and then immediately jumped to Antifa. As you mentioned that is horrible for a debate and for the sound bites that all of the MSM will of course use but that's not the same as not answering the question at all or saying "no, I will not denounce them". He put them on the same field as Antifa and we know how he feels about them.

You pick and choose items that fit your narrative but don't fit all of the facts. Indignation seems like a pretty natural response for someone who is not a career politician. Also, he told the Proud Boys to "stand down and stand by". Some people might give him the benefit of the doubt that the second part was a slip of the tongue but either way he clearly said to stand down. For some reason you just pick the part that makes him look the worst. Not sure if that's because that's what you heard and just didn't bother to look into it or you are willfully omitting facts.

Also it's pretty unlikely that the Proud Boys are even white supremacists as they were led by a Latino. But again for some reason these facts get omitted. I'll assume you don't have ill intent and are just misinformed.

The Proud Boys were led by a Latino so not sure how they could be a white supremacist group. Also Trump told them to stand down not just stand by. And a more charitable reading could say the stand by was just a slip in a heated debate but either way he clearly told them to stand down.
This is demonstrably false. He did this at least 20 times.

Wallace asked President Trump whether he was willing to denounce “white supremacists and militia groups,” and Trump answered, "Sure, I'm willing to do that,"

Not sure how any sane person can claim that isn't denouncing white supremacy but hey don't let facts get in the way of your narrative.

Also at least WebMD appears to agree with my interpretation as they talk about 1 million doses a day for 100 days.

“This team will help get … at least 100 million covid vaccine shots into the arms of the American people in the first 100 days,”

Perhaps it's interpretation but I read that as meaning the number starts at zero. Your example says "I would bring the DOW to 30k" which is different from what Biden said. He didn't say I will bring the vaccine to 100m he said I will get 100m people vaccinated in 100 days. While I can see how that could be interpreted the way you claim I also can and do read it the other way.

Either way I think at a minimum there should be attribution as 16.5m is a significant amount of people already vaccinated that the graph appears to give him credit for.

Re:Track Biden – The first 100 Days on Wednesday January 20, 2021 @05:12PM (#25852663)
It doesn't matter where the number was pulled from. The point is this looks like Biden did it as part of his presidency and that is completely dishonest. If you tell me you're going to 100m in the first 100 days that means the number starts at 0 on your first day.
Re:Track Biden – The first 100 Days on Wednesday January 20, 2021 @05:03PM (#25852594)
So according to this Biden has administered 16.5m vaccines in his first hours in office...? I don't think anybody in their right mind can attribute that to him.

Sorry I missed the sarcasm. Sometimes it's really hard to tell here and in the valley in general.

Thinking is hard. Group think for the win!!

I really hope you didn't mean that in the completely pathetic way that it sounded. Group think is a great way to fit in but certainly isn't a good way to stand out.

Yet again I ask, what is this doing on Hacker News?
What is this garbage doing on Hacker News?!

Have a look at Real Studio <http://www.realsoftware.com/realstudio/>. I've used it for several cross platform projects and it's reasonably inexpensive and produces decent apps.
Re:Veracity 0.9.1 on Sunday July 17, 2011 @02:50AM (#2772734)
To get `vv serve` working you have to do something like this:

vv config set server/files /usr/local/share/veracity/server_files

Be sure to replace /usr/local/.. with the correct path to server_files.

Re: Is my splash page lame? on Sunday December 19, 2010 @04:14PM (#2022508)
I created http://duringconstruction.com/ for reasons such as this. Naturally it has to be a little more generic but you can get it up by only changing DNS. It gives you all of the benefits while wasting as little time as possible.

I think the page you put up has personality but there really wasn't anything to hook me into giving up my email address. I think being completely stealthy and getting lots of email addresses and/or is impossible or at least very difficult unless you have a high profile personality involved. Without that I need something to pique my curiousity.

Thanks Kin. I'm sorry my website depresses you. :) But I agree that it needs some work. I'll definitely see what I can do about making the image not look like an ad. Once I get some additional styles integrated I'll put up a gallery and hopefully that will.
Re:Ask HN: Review my startup - DuringConstruction.com on Monday August 30, 2010 @04:48PM (#1647508)
Pro accounts aren't yet ready but they will be $10 per domain for the lifetime of the domain. If this gets abused it may be limited to a year but generally a coming soon site shouldn't be up that long. Currently the planned features for a Pro account are: more styles, no branding and 3rd party mass emailer integration.
Re:Ask HN: Review my startup - DuringConstruction.com on Monday August 30, 2010 @04:44PM (#1647488)
Thanks for the feedback fdiotalevi.

I've fixed the account link. You might need to refresh but it will work correctly now.

All you have to do to create a coming soon page is point the DNS of your site to the duringconstruction.com web server. A site will be automatically created the first time somebody visits the site. To just get one up and running that's all you need to do. After that you can verify the domain and edit the defaults.

I completely agree on the Twitter account. I'm planning on using it for communication with users, but right now there are very few users. :) Naturally I'm hoping that changes and I've only communicated with users so far that have tweeted about buying new domains and they've all been done by hand.

Thanks again for the feedback.

Ask HN: Review my startup - DuringConstruction.com

Hi HN! I just released the first iteration of a new service that provides nice coming soon pages. The idea is to replace the hideous GoDaddy ad filled pages with something nice looking and useful. I've still got a lot of things I want to do such as additional templates and integration with mass mailers such as MailChimp but I wanted to get feedback from the HN crowd. Here's the main site...
