" amd have already signed contracts to use Intel's fab service"

Source requested, I follow this news closely and have not seen anything that AMD is using Intel's fab.

Nvidia praised their test chip and that indicates they might use Intel's fab. They have not definitively announced that either (https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-ceo-intel-test-chip...)

Amazon was using Intel Foundry for packaging, not fabrication. And Qualcomm was considering 20A (https://www.pcgamer.com/intel-announces-first-foundry-custom...) in 2021, but there was a rumor earlier this year that Qualcomm might not use it after all (https://www.notebookcheck.net/Qualcomm-reportedly-ditches-In...)

"We _thought_ that this would be a quiet, stealthy beta for us while we finished the technology and the client"

Then maybe don't invite journalists onto your Quiet Stealthy Beta!!!

I hope you get rest, work is not that important

Have they? As far as I'm aware, sleep states are "supported" in hardware well enough, but doesn't prevent software/settings from not using them correctly.

Not that I blame them, there are many different sleep states from core/package level [0] that map onto system/platform level sleep states [1]. Fucking confusing, and I'm sure something is waking it up. Have you checked Windows Task Scheduler? My college laptop had a Norton Antivirus scan wakeup at 5am every day and would be re-enabled every Windows Update, similar pain to you

Re:Gitlab S-1 on Saturday September 18, 2021 @01:32AM (#28573913)
Intel was (is?) using it to some extent. I owned a repo from 2019 - 2020 and there was a big push/timeline of all the different repo services and their EOL/move to Gitlab. Unsure it that's still the case or if the new POR is GitHub, thought I heard whispers of that about to change before I left.

Anyways, I had to migrate like 100+ users into Gitlab and setup/babysit the CI/CD output of that repository (which is not software, just documentation but the build/release process is not trivial). I actually didn't have too bad of a time all things considered, and none of the problems described here. Unsure how much of that was use case or people above me keeping my life easy but I was a happy user.
