Any cost to this?
Re:Ask HN: Who is your go-to web hosting company? on Friday February 27, 2015 @09:24AM (#9118934)
+1 Never have any problems with them and their customer service is great
If he has had multiple exits worth any considerable cash, why doesn't he just put in the money himself instead of getting investors, especially an investor like you. Seems like he himself is not confident in his idea and doesn't want to risk his own money in the venture.
Re:WEB DEVELOPER (DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES) on Tuesday February 17, 2015 @11:37AM (#9063159)
Why is this being posted? Its not like they are expecting any special skill that anyone who works for minimum wage would not have.
Re:Yelp Buys Eat24 for $134M on Tuesday February 10, 2015 @02:05PM (#9029160)
I'm almost surprised they didn't do this sooner.
Re:Does Gentrification Cause a Reduction in Laundromats? on Wednesday February 04, 2015 @09:17AM (#8996863)
In NYC, its less of a space constraint and more of being against the rules of the landlord/co-op board because they say the building cannot support so much water usage and they are afraid of leakage into apartments below. Most of these arguments have been proven completely invalid, as washing machines nowadays don't use even close to the same amount of water they did 40 years ago, but they still uphold that silly rule.

one step closer to light sabers!
Wow, Are we supposed to feel sorry for the person posting the yelp review? They made themselves seem like a big baby expecting a restaurant to appease their every whim. These are very few reviews that yelp should remove, but this is definitely one of them.
I think we crashed the site, can't get on it :(
Re:Ask HN: Use cases for forms-based software tool? on Friday October 10, 2014 @02:26PM (#8439280)
What kind of cost do you expect to charge for this? A problem I have now with some of the form base software is that the charge for multiple users who each create one form is very high, as they charge per user, not based on how many forms the users make.

Re:Ask HN: Films for Hackers? on Monday March 17, 2014 @01:17PM (#7416451)

Re:Ask HN: Is this a stupid business idea? on Thursday February 06, 2014 @01:52PM (#7192167)
Love the idea, would be a fun if you paid for each person you caught stealing and nothing otherwise. When I'm bored and there is nothing on TV, I can just turn on your app and pretend to be a security guard. Maybe you can even have an API that would let users make applications that track people stealing.
Whats your blog's link? Would love to read it!
Re:Georgia Tech: Startup Semester on Thursday January 09, 2014 @10:42AM (#7031049)
Georgia Tech really seems to be taking initiative here with this and their MOOC, I hope more schools follow suit with similar ideas.
Re:10 Most (and Least) Stressful Jobs for 2014 on Tuesday January 07, 2014 @11:38AM (#7018166)
If it was a stressful job, you could start to get nervous and sweat. Then you wouldn't be able to press the button on the drill correct and it would be a bad cycle....stressful just thinking about it.
Re:The Secrets of White Collar Prisons on Friday January 03, 2014 @02:22PM (#7007467)

Re:Ask HN: why should I care about my Klout score? on Friday January 03, 2014 @01:39PM (#7007164)
I think its time for me to start posting more!!!
Re:My thoughts on SF after living here for six months on Tuesday December 31, 2013 @01:37PM (#6992044)
More because it is a known fact that a large proportion of the homless in NYC are not actually even from NY and I don't think we should be paying to take care of people who are not actually from the area. This to me should be a federal issue, why should major metropolitan areas have to pay for all the joe smoes who move to the city for no other reason than mooching off the "better" benefits that cities provide over small towns.
Re:My thoughts on SF after living here for six months on Tuesday December 31, 2013 @01:25PM (#6991956)
As a NYer, just wondering where you heard this? If true, my opinion of Bloomberg just went up even more.
Re: Winklevoss twin says Bitcoin valuation will top $40k on Monday December 16, 2013 @02:03PM (#6917012)
This should really be made illegal. Some poor soul is going to think they are serious and actually put money into it. The Winklevoss are barely a step above Madoff here.
