Re:Plagiarism on Monday May 14, 2012 @04:26PM (#3973068)
that's a common problem I've been noticing lately. People can't take the blame when they made a mistake. It's whether they blame someone else or they divert the subject. It's so hard to apologize or say "yes, I did it" and then move on.

Re:55,000 Twitter passwords leaked on Tuesday May 08, 2012 @04:24PM (#3945618)
I just looked at one of the pages and by looking at the data, it looks like it's from Brazil. Portuguese names, portuguese passwords. That was the page with L-O.Not Portugual either, Brazil. So a good sense of observation I have.
Elvis is 77!

Re:Ask HN: Alternative to Ubuntu? on Sunday April 29, 2012 @03:42PM (#3906833)
I'm also using Mint but LMDE, the debian version with XFCE as a desktop. Cinnamon looks alright but XFCE is nice on Mint.
Re:MYTHIC: The Story Of Gods And Men (Canceled) on Saturday April 28, 2012 @10:03PM (#3904835)
I like the t-shirt and the bag too. You can clearly see it hasn't been screenprinted. It's been done in Photoshop.
around the time of SOPA, at least 1 out of 10 posts was a post related to it and people were discussing about it. Now, it seems like people don't really care. I think they've won and we're now their little cyberbitches. What can I do, I'm Canadian. I'll just wait like a lot of people..
Re:How I Tricked Myself Into Being Awesome on Thursday April 26, 2012 @09:28AM (#3893768)
the woman didn't decide her fate. It was accidental. He accomplished something with resilience. Why do we have to compare everything in terms of heroism? Who cares about heros. The lady wasn't a heroine neither is he.
Re:Google HTML/CSS Style Guide on Tuesday April 24, 2012 @09:26PM (#3887244)

Re:What i didn't like about Meteor on Sunday April 22, 2012 @05:15PM (#3876121)
did you look at how the demos are structured? That's what I did. Like with wordplay for example since it's more elaborate than the todo.
Re:Avi Bryant Joins Etsy on Wednesday April 18, 2012 @12:40PM (#3858835)
He's the original co-founder of Seaside, the Smalltalk framework. He then went to work on a startup called DabbleDB and at Twitter. He's like the Steve Albini of the tech world. Really brilliant guy. He also gave a talk that was called "Rails is obsolete(so's everything else)" in 2010 I think.Check out his talks here: http://blog.redtexture.net/2010/10/30/avi-bryants-presentati...

Re:What is the best way to test out websites on Friday April 13, 2012 @12:40AM (#3835413)
online there's browserling and browsershots. Also Netrenderer is not bad. These are mostly free. You can install VirtualBox if you're on Linux and want to test for IE and not use Wine. And Microsoft has virtual machines, I forget the name, but you can install different versions of IE on the same machine(here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=11575). You can also use the Opera mobile emulator to test for different devices.
Re:Stallman's Facebook list on Saturday April 07, 2012 @10:14AM (#3810919)
Stallman is a god. He even has his own perfume, GNU.(ah, yeah I forgot it was an April's fool...).He has to be revered. I bet there's people that have his poster on their wall. Imagine, I heard there's a Stallman cult in Ohio.
