Very cool and detailed post, enjoyed reading it!

If I wanted to get into Fusion 360 and Autocad in general, what are some resources you’d recommend?

This is great! I've been using Cursor Directory pretty much since it's inception a few months ago and it's great to see it come this far this quickly. Will be diving into the code, kudos on making it OS!

Would love to see a blog and maybe some documentation as to how to create MCPs

Very polished UX. The questions are good, one thing I've noticed is regardless of the voice recording, the questions keep coming, maybe a good feature would be to get more clarity on the question asked if the answer isn't exactly right. Would also love to see the transcription of the things I am saying as I am saying it.
I just copied the html from this thread into Claude to get a summary. I think being very realistic, a lot of SWE job requirements will be replaced by LLMs.

The expertise to pick the right tool for the right job based on previous experience that senior engineers poses is something that can probably be taught to an LLM.

Having the ability to provide a business case for the technology to stakeholders that aren't technologically savvy is going to be a people job for a while still.

I think positioning yourself as an expert / bridge between technology and business is what will future-proof a lot of SWE, but in reality, especially at larger organizations, there will be a trimming process where the workload of what was thought to need 10 engineers can be done with 2 engineers + LLMs.

I'm excited about the future where we're able to create software quicker and more contextual to each specific business need. Knowing how to do that can be an advantage for software engineers of different skill levels.

Re:Show HN: Compare 10 CSS frameworks (with demos) on Wednesday December 11, 2024 @11:23AM (#42389376)
Great resource!

Some of these are based on Tailwind - dailyui for example, would be nice to have a collection called Tailwind so that I know which ones I can use with their CSS.

Additionally, I think it would be valuable to see which templating frameworks these have support for (React, Vue, etc) to help make more educated decisions.

Built with NextJS, server actions + love and care

Ask HN: What are your biggest recruiting challenges/successes?

We've been exploring the space for quite some time now and the general consensus is: recruitment is broken :/Wether it's from the candidate experience, or the post-hire interactions, there are challenges that both candidates and recruiters / talent acquisition face. What are your biggest challenges in making sure that the flow is completed successfully? What are you spending the most time on?...

Ask HN: How do you hire?

Specifically, how do you find the right talent? We're a SaaS startup and after going through two BD people, we've realized that we're doing it wrong. Any tips on the process of finding the "right" vs "best" candidate would be great.

Re:How I built a product in 5 weeks using Meteor and React on Wednesday October 05, 2016 @04:20PM (#12647460)
Ahaha @speedygrowth when I get another spare 4 weeks and enough sleep, I'll definitely try!

Ask HN: CRM – Which one do you use?

We're a small startup. Currently we are using Pipedrive but as far as I can tell, they don't offer insightful reporting. We don't want to break the bank and move over to Salesforce just yet. What would you recommend?

looks good :) I wanted to make it easy to integrate it (someone without any knowledge of code can just set it up on their end and the front page once a day at 4 pm seems like an optimal medium to start with)
what's the threshold here? and if everyone sets up their own, with a million users, the server is making a million requests to the API and that's not super efficient

Built with Meteor, I love it!
