Mind blowing far.

Re:Coinbase and the IRS on Sunday January 15, 2017 @11:31AM (#13404702)
Coinbase offers a (beta) cost basis for taxes report via https://www.coinbase.com/reports
"Pirated software" is not the right term to use in this case.
Was I really the first to upload a TXT file that only had the words "hello world"?

https://proofofexistence.com/detail/b94d27b9934d3e08a52e52d7...

I was expecting to see someone else's document that had that text.

Can someone answer this? Raw read the memory to an external device and then brute force that shit using super computers until it cries.

Reminds of Mr. Incredible's day job as an insurance salesman who helped the nice old lady by telling her how to work the insurance system.
Re:Show HN: Make a rectangle – a puzzle game on Tuesday September 29, 2015 @10:38AM (#10296605)
I assume the goal is to make a rectangle? Does it have to be a square?
Re:Capabilities and Services on Tuesday September 15, 2015 @09:13AM (#10220409)
Where is the "BUY NOW" button?
Re:Supercomputers: Obama orders world's fastest computer on Thursday July 30, 2015 @09:31AM (#9974803)
I wonder how many bitcoins can be mined with it :)
Re:A website that deletes itself once indexed by Google on Sunday March 08, 2015 @04:13PM (#9167034)
I would be interested in similar experiments but with a couple of minor variations to see the effects of each:

1. Sending the NOINDEX meta tag

2. Combining meta tags

3. Monitoring for a referrer URL that matches a Google search page to catch the 1st non-sneaky user coming from the index.

4. Monitoring other search engines and their behaviors.

This seems likely:

"fixing the error is within my power but talking to the customer is not."

Does this mean I can pay my taxes in Bitcoin?
Re:Building a Better Messaging System with Bitcoin on Saturday February 14, 2015 @05:36PM (#9051001)
I see a lot of potential in a system such as this. Let's build it.

Would choosing an alternative crypto currency other than Bitcoin help with some of the recognized issues?

Re:Jupiter Moon Europa's Giant Geysers Are Missing on Thursday January 01, 2015 @09:28PM (#8825254)
Whew, thank goodness I didn't blast off in a rocket towards Europa. Though, maybe I could course correct to Enceladus. That's where the action is at.
Re:Skeleton 2.0 CSS Framework on Tuesday December 09, 2014 @06:08PM (#8726476)
Why have a max width of 960px?

"The grid is a 12-column fluid grid with a max width of 960px"

Re:You can't win the game, it exists only to destroy your mind on Tuesday December 09, 2014 @01:51PM (#8724781)
I also was able to "escape" the maze and fall into an abyss. I agree, that is winning :)
Re:HTML6 Concept on Tuesday December 02, 2014 @11:27AM (#8687879)
I am holding out for HTML9. http://html9responsiveboilerstrapjs.com/

Re:Gravitricity on Saturday November 22, 2014 @05:37PM (#8646914)

Re:The Internet Arcade on Saturday November 01, 2014 @03:53PM (#8544362)
I am a kid again. Where do I insert the quarter? :)
Can someone translate what this means for us and for ButterflyLabs? What is a "show cause hearing"?

"If it continues to observe inappropriate behavior, the Court will not hesitate to schedule a show cause hearing to address the offending conduct."

Re:HP 3D printing on Wednesday October 29, 2014 @02:25PM (#8528908)
THIS. They need to add a "buy now" button or a "pre-order" button. A price estimate would be nice.
Re:CSS-only plotting on Thursday October 23, 2014 @06:26PM (#8501082)
Agreed, especially since the inline approach allows more flexibility, like 66%.
Re:Flat UI Colors on Tuesday October 21, 2014 @09:08AM (#8487095)
What am I missing? Isn't this just a hardcoded set of 20 colors that doesn't change? What if I don't like those particular 20 colors?
Re:Cosmic rays found in smartphones on Thursday October 16, 2014 @10:16AM (#8464962)
It is only activated when it is plugged into a power source.

Please change the title of this post to:

"Observing Ultra-High Energy Cosmic Rays with Smartphones"

Re:A replacement for JavaScript's “alert” on Tuesday October 07, 2014 @11:05AM (#8421544)
What I like about Wow Alert:

1. It's less than 5KB.

2. It overrides the existing alert function.

3. It extends the existing alert function.

What I don't like about Sweet Alert:

1. It's bloated for what it does... > 30KB

2. The short-hand swal doesn't make sense or read well.

And how exactly is Blockchain "very different from something like Coinbase/Circle/Xapo"?
