An ugly omen of dark times ahead. Weird how this isn't making front page.
EDIT: the moderators are idiots.
Didn't I see this on the front page a minute ago? This is big stuff. Ignore at your own peril.
I see where your getting at. It's a bit like vow of now's
"zen mind guaranteed or your money isn't refunded":

I recently bought a Blackberry because of its built in encryption features. It's a great phone but is missing two popular apps: Evernote and Audible.
If you made an app to substitute for either one and charged a few bucks for it, you'll make passive revenues for a long time. Not only that, you'll be loved by crackberry users the world over.
Seriously, how many business types subscribe to Audible and to Evernote? And people are looking for more secure communications. It's an incredible opportunity.
Google and Facebook are part of the military surveillance complex, it's as simple as that. They are privatized surveillance companies who serve the US government.
It should be considered enemy soil for anyone who believes in privacy and freedom.
Jonathan, thanks for being a great example of activism and an inspiration to me and I'm sure others as well :)
I write my own copy, but then again, I'm a copywriter by trade.
1-855-ZEN-MAIL: http://1855zenmail.com and 1-855-SEO-LAND: http://1855seoland.com are two that I just listed for sale on the Sell HN thread.
The challenge is to be able to communicate what your product or service is and does in one succinct sentence.
The best ones are almost like a suckerpunch, like this one: http://vowofnow.com
1-855-ZEN-MAIL:

With both businesses, the business name is the phone number and is also the website URL.
1-855-ZEN-MAIL currently has subscribers and a prospecting/lead gen strategy. They both come with pre-written sales scripts.

I'm not big on TL;DRs, but this post is screaming for one.
He's a wise man, a spiritual leader. The Power of Now is a mind-melter.
It's an upgrade and a change from the usual, and the change didn't disrupt my workflow. If anything, it streamlined it.
But in terms of privacy, it just means I have a new taskmaster.
I'm almost completely off Google (started my exodus late last year) and it wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it'd be.
I moved into the Microsoft ecosystem.
It's all there. Bing is surprisingly good, SkyDrive surpasses even Dropbox and Office 365 w/ OneNote is the best office suite available. I even got a Windows Phone 8 (yeah, I can get carried away sometimes).
The point is, there's a whole new world out there that's sans Google, and it's probably better than you imagine it to be.
Welcome to the US, where the rights of the individual override the rights and safety of the whole.
Here in the US, tolerance to do and say "whatever the hell I want" is demanded but rarely returned.
One last suggestion: subtitles on the video. I watched the video but wasn't really sure what kind of functionality is was and how it would benefit me.
Then again, I have a touch of ADD, so I may be your 'worst case scenario'.
I wish you success!
There's been some interesting bookmarking apps lately, yours included. The question is how are you going to get traction?
It's easy to see why Google banned these guys and not Amazon.com or Walmart. I could sum it up in one word: trust. Amazon and Walmart have it, these guys don't.
Personally, if I'm going to buy a knife, I'll buy it from Amazon. I trust them on a whole bunch of levels that I don't trust these guys.
Is it fair? I've been doing SEO / PPC for over a decade and its never, ever been fair.
I seems the overall useage and popularity of bitcoins has gone down though. I haven't had a single purchase with bitcoins in about a year at Flow and Zone Games (
http://flowandzonegames.com ) and that's quite a change from the one-a-week clip before.
I don't understand the currency so maybe I'm overpricing.
This is reminiscent of the Taoist virtue "to hold fast to the submissive is called strength." Or in other words, if a person never competes, he can never suffer defeat.
