Re:I paid people to try and follow my README on Sunday October 11, 2026 @09:30AM (#50043116)
Most README files should include a screenshot.

Even if it is a command-line tool, a screenshot helps provide a better understanding of what to expect.

Re:Saving Jet Fuel on Wednesday September 16, 2026 @12:49AM (#49722216)
Good exercise but as useful as Google maps would implement "ignore traffic rules" option to save fuel.

Moved to Garmin.

Maybe less powerful but battery life is the most important feature for me.

Re:GitHub Copilot App on Tuesday June 02, 2026 @03:50PM (#48375315)
Looks good, but after pricing change I have already used 26% this month with very light usage.

Last month I used Copilot heavily, much much more than I usually do, but did not manage to use more than 58%.

Re:GitHub Is Sinking on Sunday May 10, 2026 @03:54PM (#48087235)
Living in Eastern Europe has its perks. I hardly ever notice big GitHub outages because of time zone.

I'm also happy with how generous their free hosting and actions are.

Re:Your Backpack Got Worse on Purpose on Wednesday April 15, 2026 @10:38AM (#47779646)
I've got quite expensive ski jacket with 4 YKK zippers.

3 of 4 zippers are broken after few years of usage.

Re:Apple introduces the new iPad Air, powered by M4 on Monday March 02, 2026 @01:22PM (#47221876)
Specs show that Pro models got Thunderbolt and Air only got USB-C.

Very vague specs.

Can iPad Air USB-C deliver 4k 120hz or how much bandwidth that USB-C got?

Re:Apple introduces the new iPad Air, powered by M4 on Monday March 02, 2026 @12:58PM (#47221550)
Can you connect it to USB-C/Thunderbolt monitor/dock and use it with keyboard and mouse?
Traffic to facebook.com must have dropped hard to make that kind of move.

It's strange to abandon the Messenger brand for such a reason.

I was similarly surprised when MS abandoned the MSN Messenger brand.

Re:Multiple explosions in Venezuela's capital Caracas on Saturday January 03, 2026 @02:14AM (#46473515)
Disgusting aggression from the US.

Trump is copying his friend Putin too much.

So it is a collection of the best pirate sites?
Re:Exe.dev/ on Saturday December 27, 2025 @03:51AM (#46400275)
It is showing non-stop loading blink but nothing happens.

And cannot open keyboard if that is needed. It is like big CTA but does not do anything.

Very strange landing page for maybe cool product.

Re:Exe.dev/ on Saturday December 27, 2025 @02:27AM (#46399903)
That must be worst website ever made.

Zero information available on mobile.

I thought it is some kind of portfolio site that does not work on mobile.

Re:Fifty problems with standard web APIs in 2025 on Wednesday December 24, 2025 @07:07AM (#46374877)
Home Screen Safari and Browser Safari act very differently.

There are a lot of bugs where home screen safari passes feature detection but in reality does not work.

iOS and Safari are hell.

Re:State of Terminal Emulators in 2025: The Errant Champions on Monday November 03, 2025 @01:05PM (#45802149)

Re:No more "check mail from other accounts" in Gmail web on Thursday October 02, 2025 @09:53AM (#45449615)
So why you say "Not true at all"?

Is it AI spam to advertise your product?

Re:Download responsibly on Monday September 22, 2025 @06:32AM (#45331468)
Then there will be an another comment: What is OSM?

Current title is fine.

"Trump threatens tariffs on Apple iPhones" (23. May)

Makes sense now why iPhones were specifically targeted.

Re:Using Gorilla glass for home building on Thursday March 27, 2025 @04:12PM (#43497638)
Triple pane windows are not that kind of luxury.

I live in a poor Eastern European country and this is the standard for new buildings.

Re:MacBook Air M4 on Wednesday March 05, 2025 @09:39AM (#43267017)
But once you activate AI, then you are not able to uninstall this AI crap from your computer.
Apple is known for their refusal to fix bugs.

One example where it is almost 2 years since they "made" a fix, but have not yet released it.

Re:Feed readers which don't take "no" for an answer on Sunday December 22, 2024 @01:44PM (#42488225)
Whole articles are reasonable.

100 articles are not reasonable.

100 articles where most of them are 1+ year old is madness.

RSS is not an archive of the entire website.

Re:Feed readers which don't take "no" for an answer on Sunday December 22, 2024 @11:23AM (#42487288)
If OP enabled gzip then this 36mb would be 13mb.

If OP reduced 30 months of posts in rss to 12 months then this 13mb would be 5mb a day.

Using Cloudflare free plan and this static content is cached without any problem.

Re:Feed readers which don't take "no" for an answer on Sunday December 22, 2024 @11:06AM (#42487169)
More like a skill issue or just decision to make your life more difficult.

It is free and easy to scale this kind of text based blog.

Re:Feed readers which don't take "no" for an answer on Sunday December 22, 2024 @10:31AM (#42486933)
Send only one year's recent posts and you've reduced bandwidth by 50%.
Re:Feed readers which don't take "no" for an answer on Sunday December 22, 2024 @10:28AM (#42486915)
Yes, this is a very poorly designed RSS feed.

500KB is horrible for RSS.

Re:Feed readers which don't take "no" for an answer on Sunday December 22, 2024 @10:10AM (#42486799)
Her rss feed is last 100 posts with full content.

So it means 30 months of blog posts content in single request.

Sending 0.5MB in single rss request is more crime than those 2 hits in 20 minutes.
