Show HN: ThemesFor.app – a static website builder that doesn't hide the HTML

from the show-hn dept.

https://themesfor.app/

I originally built ThemesFor.app in 2018 while running a small web development agency. One thing that kept bothering me with website builders was that they increasingly tried to hide the technical parts of building a website. That's useful for many people, but I wanted almost the opposite — a visual tool for people who are already comfortable with HTML and CSS.ThemesFor.app is my attempt at...

Everything on the teenage engineering website, every product, everything is too creative. Loved it!

We also launched a similar service in the past like 3-4 years back and trust me it doesn't work as you think. The problem is with the product-market fit. It is very hard to find the right people for your service and the fierce competition from all the major players makes it even harder. If you are truly involved in the service then don't wait for the people to find and reach out to you, instead try to find the right audience and reach out to them. I know it is tougher than saying. We've tried it but unfortunately, it didn't work as we planned and that's why we shut it down after just 6 months. Nevertheless, at least try it first. All the best.

Show HN: Plan, Manage and Collaborate Right from Your WordPress Dashboard

Hi HN,As a micropreneur (Yeah, it’s a term for people who make micro-tools for a living), I need to do a lot of content marketing, especially through blogs. If you have many blogs like I do then you know the pain of collaborating with your not-so-real-kind-of-writer team who always forgot about the content strategy and change the dates on the blog post from 2023 → 2024 every year. I’ve used...

He can do what ever he wants, after-all he owns the platform. If you own the game, you always will get the first-turn to play.
Re:Ask HN: Those making $0/month or less on side projects – Show and tell on Saturday February 04, 2023 @09:36AM (#34654791)
Themes For App : https://themesfor.app It is a site where you can download free bootstrap templates for your side-projects. I've been running it for over 5 years now and earned zero out of it. First thing that I want to mention is that in the first place, it was not my primary intension to earn from it but from the start of this year I have started looking forward to monetizing it. At the moment it costs me $0 to run except the standard domain cost. But in starting it costs me $500+ for the ESP.

Great collection! But there is one thing that I noticed. The loading of images on the landing page is slow. Also, it taking some hiccups while scrolling. Are you using some sort of sheet to site solutions like Pory or sheet2site?
