That guy castevictim is talking out of his ass. There's no truth to what he's saying. He's an anti-national Muslim.

I'm wholly self-taught and I'm looking for a Junior Software Developer position. I'm open to internships and apprenticeships as well. If you're willing to take a chance on me, I promise to NOT disappoint you. I'm also willing to work the first three (or more) months for free, so you can assess my performance in a risk-free way and then get me on the payroll if I've lived up to your expectations.
How does OS/161 compare to xv6?
That's nice. Which edtech company is that?
>> This collection attempts to provide recreate that same feeling ...
I think the word "provide" should not be there.
Anyway, I think this is a brilliant idea. I don't mind the yellow background but I think the main text font could be darker for better visual contrast. A favicon won't hurt too.
Will Cinnamon be fast and responsive on an old laptop with a 2nd-gen Intel Core i5 processor and 4 GB of RAM? And how is the support for NVidia GPUs?
Nice initiative! I would like to see some systems programming challenges in the future. Hopefully, one day the software development industry will be cured of the mass psychosis brought about by coding puzzles. And you have taken the first step in that direction. But you need to promote this site like crazy. This should be on the front page of Hacker News. Good luck with this endeavor.
Oh man, that's a bummer. I think one of the great joys in constructing your own compiler or interpreter is making your own lexer and parser. Doesn't using a pre-made lexer/parser kind of defeat the purpose of making your own compiler/interpreter?
There is a similar project called "Build Your Own Lisp"[0] (BYOL), which is a book that walks one through making a Lisp in C. Has anybody here done BYOL? How does it compare to MAL? If you had to choose one to learn how to create a Lisp, which would you choose?

Hey, can you tell me the name of the awesome company you work for that is reimbursing your tuition fees, please? I'm not aware of many companies that reimburse you for an MS.
Side note: You've got "its" and "it's" the other way around.
Yup, I think Quanta and Nautilus feature the best science writing in the world.
I can assume 8/10 web developers aren't proficient in calculus, especially the ones who switched careers from non-STEM fields or those who graduated from coding bootcamps.
> I think that if you're looking to level-up intellectually, studying math and science, but especially math, is the way to do it.
I couldn’t agree more.
