Great timing. I downloaded the models today on LM Studio, they seem to work remarkably well.

Any HN model recommendations to run on my 24GB M5 and any best practices while running them?

Re:LinkedIn Prevents You from Deplatforming on Sunday January 04, 2026 @08:22PM (#46494317)
To add, I'm a year into starting my product-dev agency and trying with figure out a stable lead gen model.

Tons of courses and posts say that LinkedIn is their most effective Lead gen model.

I'm yet to make it work for me, but it seems like it works for them.

Re:I charged $18,000 for a Static HTML Page (2019) on Sunday January 04, 2026 @08:09PM (#46494224)
Exactly
I run a side project n0c0de.com [1] ... thats no-code with two zeroes

I develop apps for experienced operators who want to start their own business.

It averages well over $500 / month in side income. Typically about $3-5K depending on the amount of time I have.

I spent perhaps a decade pushing going independent due to inability to get a product ready. I ended up learning the skills and now to solve that pain point for others.

Re:Show HN: Sim – Apache-2.0 n8n alternative on Saturday December 13, 2025 @01:29PM (#46256736)
Few qs:

1) Is there something that n8n does that's not possible on Sim? 2) Is there a node to create custom stuff like n8n's code node? Possibly nodejs and python 3) Is it easy to import packages from npm or pip

Is there a web version of this?
Yet to explore but just reading few snippets ... is this good for offline first apps?

If not, any others you recommend for that use-case?

If yet, is this ready enough for production use?

Is there an evaluation of such services available anywhere. Looking for recommendations for similar services with usage based pricing and pro-and-cons.

ps: looking for most economic one to play around with as long as it a decent enough experience (minimal learning curve). buy, happy to pay too

Re:Rork – Build any cross-platform mobile app, fast on Friday May 23, 2025 @09:58PM (#44078208)
I just tried this and it seems pretty cool. I somehow had a bad opinion of mobile apps generation, but this one actually worked.
paywalled for me too
Great post. Would love some good samples of "news paper" like sites too
pretty cool. soon there will be an open source version of this
Looks interesting mate. screenstudio keeps crashing for me endlessly ... so this is a welcome effort

The last one here seems to show both. Maybe its just a config issue

Re:Ask HN: How can X suspend paid accounts without explanation? on Thursday January 16, 2025 @09:30PM (#42733465)
No reason actually. I was just testing out an automation idea. Didn't actually post anything! Just logging in multiple times with my automation
Re:Ask HN: Alternatives to WordPress for Personal Blogging on Thursday January 16, 2025 @07:55PM (#42732864)
I built https://1pg.notion.lol/ to launch my blog powered by notion. I hated the entire process of copying and pasting and maintaining two copies.

I do all my work for all other project in Notion and find it very difficult and irritating to switch apps.

I am still building this, so would love to chat and get any inputs (incl. your additional use-cases) if you are up for it! Will ping you if that's ok, LMK

Ask HN: How can X suspend paid accounts without explanation?

Recently X suspended my account without any reason (no spam, offensive content, etc) and after charging me for the entire year upfront. One valid thing, is I was doing a login automation on my personal laptop browser. I guess it assumed it was a bot. I tried to appeal for 4 times with no acknowledgement or response.Questions:1) What options do I have to challenge X's suspension? 2) Are there...

Glide is cool ... I wish there were FOSS versions of Glide to spin up nice, neat and simple mobile apps.

There are now quite a few reliable FOSS version of no-code tools (but the mobile space seems to be missing alternatives). Few nice no-code FOSS that I love using are listed at https://blog.n0c0de.com/articles/1635ef6f-f616-8023-b336-ff3...

There are so many auth libraries on the roll nowadays. I am using firebase js and it is very simple and straightforward to use.

I'm not a security expert, so please advise any pitfalls that the new libraries address which cannot be done with firebase

This is quite beautiful. I love it! Will use this as an alternative to my mindmap software!

Re:Show HN: Convert any website into a React component on Tuesday November 05, 2024 @06:43PM (#42056207)
Yet to try but is there a way to support vanilla JS? Most of my nowadays are pure HTML/JS/CSS (using Alpine mostly)
Will try out, nice that is OSS. I work on plain vanilla HTML, JS and CSS. No React, Vue, etc. Hope this works for me.
Re:What has helped you to grow your newsletter follower list? on Saturday October 26, 2024 @08:20AM (#41954307)
Agreed. Last week, I tried hiring a content agency to help us craft quality articles. To my surprise, their question within five minutes was, “Which keywords do you want to optimize for?” I have to admit—it left me stunned! :)

Maybe I’ve been ignorant, and keyword stuffing actually does work, but it got me thinking. It would be great to hear from successful newsletter owners to understand what truly works in building engaging and effective content.
