Can you please elaborate and explain further?
Hi, I am not affiliated with the OP, but I would like to understand what your concerns are in the context of data security and privacy.
Can you please also explain what is expected of AI companies in this aspect, especially for B2B applications?
This is both inspirational and aspirational!
Can the more knowledgeable members of the forum guide on how to find and validate such idea and start with the execution?
Finally, someone else who feels the same pain as I do.
Believe me you, I keep subscriptions of both Apple Music and Spotify. Apple Music for the better in general catalog and better syncing, Spotify for better discovery.
I plan on creating a tool that would allow me to download all the songs in my library so that I don't lose on them when Spotify or AM decide to remove it from their catalog.
Apple Music, at least, shows the track details but greys it out. Spotify simply shows an empty entry, which frustrates me even more.
Can the smart folks on HN point out to a good resource or a collection of resource for a software engineer to get up to speed with LLMs and Gen AI concepts, and understand basic deployments and use cases?
Can the folks on HN guide me on how to learn and master linear programming and create a consulting career out of it?
I've been exposed to linear programming slightly at work and I find this to be powerful technique to solve a lot of problems that are currently written with generic software programming with better results. I feel there is good opportunity to create a consulting career/business out of it, though having the knowledge and expertise is necessary and there aren't lot of good resources on the internet to learn.
Can other members suggest courses/resources, that help prepare with basic Maths/Stats/ML/Programming skills required for this one?
I got introduced to pip and virtualenv when I started coding in python in 2013-14.
Except for the system/3rd party python and python2/python3 confusion a couple of times, I've been able to set up many projects at multiple companies that quite a few people have worked on over the years without any problem just using pip and virtualenv.
Somehow every time I searched about a better way of doing it, the new tools looked more confusing that the existing one. And since the existing ones keep working very well, I haven't had any incentive to move to any other tool that does even more magic under the wraps, in the name of making things simpler, because when the required conditions aren't met, these tools simply tend to give up.
So I just setup the virtualenv with the appropriate python version and then use pip to install python dependancies. Projects have varied from webservers to computer vision and forecasting. And have not faced any issue till date.
While all this and most other advises are applicable to career, money, and tangible things, what does one do when unable to make a decision in intangible things like relationships and love life?
Asking because stuck in a situation where not sure what choice is better for me, for the other person and there is nothing that's helping me decide.
Can you give an example just to get an idea about what kind of work can be found?

I am working with an enterprise SaaS startup that is about a year old. They have the product validated, conducted some pilots and are now into the revenue and growth phase.
The founders don't have enough knowledge/experience about software development.
Initial they hired developers who could create a working system but without any systematic organisation and practises like testing or code...
I aspire to be in Dang's position in my retirement years!!
Any guidance for developing these skills, especially in the context of tech companies?
Yes, but there have been instances of Apple (and in general, ARM as well, though not as much) adding special instructions to the A series chips to make JS execution faster.
They can make web apps run better than other platforms. And then they can make native apps run even faster.
Both are a advantage which the competing ecosystem doesn't have.
It is the same. But you cannot expect a vaccine to work similarly in people of two different regions having major differences in their diet, climate and lifestyles. That's why many vaccine candidates are being tested in multiple countries( read potential markets).
Also, I think the UK has preferential rights at least on the initial yield of the vaccine.
I've used the public beta version ever since Apple has started releasing it. Don't remember the exact version, but have used it with iPhone 5s, iPhone SE(the older one) and iPhone XR.
Mind you, all these were/are my sole phones.
Except for a few resprings and a camera app crash(resolved by a restart), I haven't had any issue.
I have been doing the same for my MacBook and things have worked quite well in general.
I am a heavy user and a software developer using it as my main machine. Seeing all other people complain about beta and even general releases, I count myself among the lucky who haven't had any issue (app compatibility aside) with the general release or the public beta.
Can you suggest a way to understand and develop the right habits? Or Any good method to improve code quality at personal and team level?
Would be really useful for my case.
Hi, I am working on a reminders centric product. And I think I might have a solution. Might be a naive and effective one or can be a totally useless.
Can we connect and discuss? Couldn't find your email on your profile.

Thanks.
The last bit of advice is something I can act upon. Although I do have automated some tasks, I think going all out on automation wherever possible will lead to saving some time. Might help
Thanks. Any guidance on how to find such remote opportunities?
Thanks. There's also an issue of finding such opportunities. Any pointers on that?

I have been working as a web developer for over a couple of years now. One thing I always end up feeling is that whatever task/story I am working on could have been done much faster and probably with a better solution.
I attribute this to not having expert knowledge of the underlying tech(say Mysql or Python/Django). And to that end, I do try read and practise a lot.
I end up with a similar...

I consider myself an average to good web developer with a couple of year's experience behind me in variety of languages/frameworks.
I am in process to find an unconventional route to working(geared towards becoming a digital nomad to certain extent).
I have come across some opportunities but do not feel confident to apply for those positions despite them being similar to my current work...
I just have AdBlock Plus installed and enabled for Safari on my iPhone. Haven't seen any ads on YouTube for quite some time now if I am viewing it on Safari. Only downside is that I have to click the cancel button everytime YouTube shows a pop up to open the link in the app.
Not just the attention, but also the knowledge of where my attention is, shouldn't be free. Right?
It is worse in India.
You see a lot of popular and lesser known titles on Prime and Netflix, and buy subscriptions to those only to realise the content isn't available in your country.
I basically feel Netflix to be a rip off, and Prime's value proposition is faster deliveries, better discounts and a few free Kindle books.
And despite trying to use these services for a long time, I am still a fan and a proponent of torrents for such consumption as I get all the content, on time, on my terms and can consume it in a way I like.
Music, is sorted. TV and Movies isn't.
UBlock Original + Ghostery. Pretty much handles everything.
And so does Google on Android.
Sure you could argue about side loading apps using other Android app stores, but do they provide timely updates and security as Google Play Store?
Outlook!!
Feels fresh and works well. Also categorises mails into Focus and Others depending.
