Right now there is an enormous surge in applicant demand.

Talent teams face the challenging task of handling high-volume inbound channels, while maintaining an excellent candidate experience, and dedicating time to high-value recruiting activities.

So I'm working on Hirevire(https://hirevire.com/) to help automate the screening rounds so that talent teams can spend time interviewing only the best candidates.

The migration work was only a couple of hours for our core process. Took us 4 in total to restart collecting video.

We still have some accessory features to be moved to video on Bunny. Like transcriptions, downloads.

I run hirevire.com one way video interview SaaS - and we were pretty much dead in the water during the Cloudflare Stream outage.

We moved out to BunnyCDN's stream after waiting for 20 hours.

One side benefit is that our videos are now stored in EU instead of Cloudflare's <hand wavy> edge location around you.

Re:Cloudflare API Down on Friday November 03, 2023 @07:42AM (#38127277)
It's now 24 hours and Stream is still not up.

This is a nice interface that you could emulate for some of the goals/target level details. I quite like the simplistic UI.

It's a lead magnet for an Indian PMS service.

My distractions at home were not noise related like yours but more from household chores. I'm convert to the philosophy of working near home - in a space dedicated for work. I use either a coffee shop or a co-working space to work in, and that's improved my productivity tremendously.

Cal Newport has written about this very well here https://www.newyorker.com/culture/cultural-comment/remote-wo...

I saw the Vibes movie video too - and loved it.

And I loved Tenet too - but I did go back and read a lot of explanation about it.

Distribution can be the moat.

Some of these GPT4 wrappers exist because they’re able to build specific integrations into existing systems that make it very easy to use. That’s a moat too.

Loved the product video.

How did you make it?

Excellent. Let me know how it works out!

Show HN: A powerful prompt I discovered for landing page copy from ChatGPT

I had been procrastinating a lot while listing my micro SaaS to listing websites that needed unique descriptions.Until I thought of using ChatGPT as an intern to create the copy. Hoping this prompt helps someone."Write landing page copy using the '6 W's' framework to convert leads into customers. Identify [ideal customer persona] as the target audience, clearly describe our [product/service]...

I've had similar revelations to culturally held beliefs which look like rituals.

Some Hindu communities don't allow families to enter a temple if someone in your close family has passed away for 14 days. They couldn't explain contagious diseases then, but realised that if it can kill you, something would show up within 14 days and it's better if you don't enter community spaces.

Reframing these rituals as explanations that could be given at time is a good way to look at the world.

Likewise
Looks great and congrats on the HN launch!

I can see myself using this to make my next screen recording.

This is not faux hiring.

This is continous hiring. Always hiring - even when there is no dire need.

To be ready for growth or churn within your team.

If you see it the other way around - you just need one person to discover your writing to unlock the depth of your thinking as a person.

Writing for the internet > Doing that one on one through networking IRL

Re:Writing is networking for introverts on Sunday November 21, 2021 @09:57PM (#29302235)
I used to run a services business, and thought that attending conferences and meet-ups would give me business. Networking (in real life) is not something I enjoyed - but had to do to get more business.

Some of the best business and personal relationships I've had IRL, have been a byproduct of writing something online.

Some the advantages that I can think of 1. Putting yourself out there has a lot more scale when you broadcast your thoughts by writing online. Even reaching 10s of people takes more time in real life. 2. Cumulative and compounding - someone can find out a lot more about you by just reading more of the things that you've written about in the past. 3. Pull vs Push - It lets the best connections come to you - instead of putting the impetus on you finding the best connection.
