If only a standard existed to do this... Hint: it exists since ages in Italy and it has been extended to Europe recently (See Registered Electronic Mail - RFC 6109 and ETSI EN 319 532 – 4)
UN has Open Source principles but it took a budget decrease to consider it for itself and it's still not approved...
>his house is still there

It's not really his house, but a reconstruction https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Columbus_House

Re:Ask HN: Should we bring software dev in-house? on Friday August 09, 2024 @10:47AM (#41202381)
I built and maintain internal and external web services at the shipping agent I work for (agent for one of the top container carriers) and I released my edifact Library on GitHub if you need you can find my email there, although it's all php so it may not be glamorous enough for HN crowd. Also advice on standards as I seat in some industry working groups
The global platform which should solve the issue is opt in for container manufacturers, not mandatory https://www.bic-boxtech.org/

It's the GPS position transmitted via AIS, it's like your phone while you are in a static position but on a bigger scale...

Add to the fact that we had equipment shortage for a while these months (hi from a shipping agency)...

Re:Microsoft in talks to buy Discord for more than $10B on Tuesday March 23, 2021 @07:45AM (#26553871)
What about Teams running against a Lync server where you can only establish chats with internal users, and chat with external users is available only through a fake meeting set up in outlook? And where the 1to1 video calls start in skype 4 business instead of teams.

Plus when running multiple instances the call goes to the first instance

Something like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bosch_reaction ? I am also interested in knowing more, I know that Sabatier reaction is planned to be used in SpaceX Starship project..

Re:Ditching Excel for Python in a legacy industry on Thursday December 31, 2020 @03:39AM (#25590798)
We are using notebooks in visual studio code to process csv downloaded from a corporate BI and replace Excel analysis. As a programmer I dreaded questions like "do you know how to program macros in Excel?"
Not trap streets but details (like small ponds in private areas) and misspellings were reportedly taken ispiration from over the years... :-)
