This is something I had built a few months ago: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/chatgpt-saved-chats...

I often find myself losing important conversations/chats when talking to ChatGPT over time. So I created an extension that enables you to bookmark conversations within the UI. Just hover over any chat and click on the save button. Hope you find it useful.

does anyone even use light mode on ChatGPT?

all chats are stored locally, so there are no privacy concerns either

This is really interesting bro

Thanks for sharing that...I don't use the pro plan so I built this extension to allow everyone to bookmark their important chats for free

I think it was down yesterday

I was tired of losing track of my important chats, so I built this extension; hopefully, it will help you as well. Kinda sad this doesn't already exist natively.

It basically offers a much better user experience, than manually bookmarking each link

lol ikr, its crazy this doesn't already exist

That is a perfect use case for having an extension like this. It makes it easier for you to jump back into a previous conversation and is primarily what I use for as well.

Hey, all chats are stored locally. Also, it is open source: https://github.com/s-sameer/chatgpt-chat-saver
