Oh wow, you don’t do “Open in New Tab” when reading HN? Thanks for the idea, I should really try that, maybe it will help with my infinite open tabs problem.

Are there good sets out there for other languages: English, German, etc?
> every other article ended in " ... written in Go"

What happened to that: is Go no longer considered great / popular?

What a persistence by the author, but why would Nissan make this so hard?
Long-pressing the chat in your thread list gives you a quick preview seemingly without sending read receipts.
fyi one of the App Store screenshots misleadingly shows "German" language in "Preview" when in reality it doesn't seem to be available at all
Knowing this, couldn't the foreign country forge the case to look like something that's also illegal in Switzerland?

Does "Built With" provide that data? How accurate do you think it might be?

Cool! Any pros over @hackernews_alerts_bot?
Can you also see the actual reviews of the products, or just the total number per star? If the reviews are also available there's potential room for sentiment analysis to automatically determine the common complaints about those products.
That doesn't work though. Those "disposable" cards are not really removed, at least not in my experience, and will still be charged. The Revolut app even conveniently notifies about the charges (but is not telling that they're from the supposedly discarded cards).
Ugh, that "loosing all teeth" dream is very disturbing, quite annoying and even painful! Good thing is that I usually don't get it unless I had quite a few drinks the night before.
I've had apps ask me to go to system settings myself to enable some permissions because I've disabled it via the said OS prompt.

It seems couple of "k" characters are to be removed from some of those numbers.
Surface Book does that. It can be charged via either a USB-C port or a Surface Connect port (which also happens to be similar to MagSafe i.e. magnetically attached).

Huh, so you can run binaries in GAE by downloading a statically linked app to /tmp, chmod'ing & executing it? And there would be no limits on how it's run? That's crazy & pretty cool!
Curious what made you make separate "See it in action!" & "Watch a quick GIF!" buttons that are taking the visitors away from the main landing page to only show an .mp4 & a .gif file? If the videos are too big to autoplay - maybe you could play them on hover, right inside the phone that's already placed next to the buttons? (sorry, no comment on the app itself, there are plenty other ones doing the same thing or maybe I just missed what's it doing differently).

4,000,000 / 8,000 == 500 liters per day per person?
> for only $60/month after rebates

How is that possible? Even if you got a 72-month loan that would only be $4,320 with the MSRP being 'From $25,120'.

>>The keys are (I'm guessing) just stored in the SIM card

They're not. They keys (and many other things) are stored in "carrier settings" that your provider pushes to your smartphone. In the past we had to set things up like APN & etc manually for the internet to work but not anymore with the settings being pushed automatically (if the provider supports it).

On iOS you can view the current version of pushed settings by seeing the Settings > General > About -> Carrier option.

"Carrier settings updates are small files that can include updates from Apple and your carrier to carrier-related settings, such as network, calling, cellular data, messaging, personal hotspot, and voicemail settings". [1]

Hm, that's nice of them, although this page states you aren't allowed to do that: "Keep in mind that we only allow one promo code per account, so if you’ve redeemed one in the past you may not add another. To see your promo code history please visit your billing page."

https://www.digitalocean.com/help/pricing-and-billing/

Cause, you know, they can't do "View Page Source".
Sorry for your loss.

I don't really know how all that works but just curious - is it documented / can they prove that the pre-existing condition wasn't mentioned at that time? Sounds pretty convenient for the insurance company to purposely "forget" something like this and then abuse that information when the time comes since, unfortunately, the person who could argue it is no longer alive.
