generally, you need to spend more than one defensive missile per attacking missile, because you might miss.

defensive missiles need to very fast and more maneuverable than attacking missiles, or the attacking missiles simply fly around them.

the fastest-accelerating vehicle ever built was a nuclear missile for intercepting nuclear missiles. they gave up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprint_(missile)

openrouter prompt and i/o logging is off by default https://openrouter.ai/docs/guides/privacy/data-collection

the providers you route to will of course have their own policies, which openrouter surfaces to you through the webui and api. you can even configure automatic routing to select providers based on your policy preferences.

consequences like delicensing, and civil or criminal liability, are all significantly financial.

the ethical objectives are supported by disincentives, offsetting the financial incentives to misbehave.

and none of that exists in software engineering (yet).
