Re:Ask HN: How do you manage photos, philosophically? on Wednesday September 27, 2023 @05:34AM (#37672328)
I think we can write a big article on this.it drills down to 2 option

1. Upload all your photos to personal cloud such as google/apple/dropbox 2. Self host a similar cloud service such as photoprism (https://www.photoprism.app/)

Both have pros and cons and depending on your technical skills you can opt for option 2 of self hosting.

Option 1 will cost but privacy and getting locked out of account by company is big problem.

I personally use option 2 and feature wise its similar to big companies. let me know if you need more details about option 2.

Electricity will not be a problem for the world in the next 30 years... 1. We will all move to renewal or nuclear

2. Bitcoin will decentralize more as the miners will move where electricity is cheaper and thus will cover geography of whole world hydro, thermal, solar, wind etc.. 3. Bitcoin can be the main chain and all side chains can rollup and commits. 4. The btc uses will be huge and there will be no dearth of transaction fees..

and the current people in America often says 'go back foreigners' .. whereas they themselves were the outsiders..leaving the past as mistake the current generation of America should allow talent (who can contribute to society in anyway and not try to create havoc) and should not create rules to restrict based on religion or belief system.

have a look at https://jhipster.tech you can generate a working example code instantly and get started
I wanted to contribute in the backend project ...but when I opened the project..the basic coding standards are missing..i know this is open source and can be fixed but all over the files i see commentated code the logging is out of place... I work in a Big European bank so maybe i was hoping for a more matured code but this code needs a fresh look...

Appreciate your efforts and thus some pointers to start: 1. Add liquibase into your project. 2. Add logging into a project. 3. Use Spring Boot if possible 4. Use an ORM framework like JOOQ may be?

Have a look at Jhipster, they are pretty good with their bootstrap projects.
