Joined a job on the side, which would help pay my bills and help my family settle down. In the meanwhile, I would be chipping along to build my small revenue generating startup.
At Koove, we believe communities are the core of the universe. However, the online communities are not really able to achieve that. There has been no disruption since Reddit.
If you are passionate about solving this problem and making great communities, lets discuss and see if we have synergies.

Ask HN: How does the "apply late" in YC application work?
I see YC Application has got "apply late" link. However, when you follow that link, it gives you a message "Sorry, this application is no longer editable."Is it only me or is it the same for others?
Many people use one hand to type on the mobile phone (thumb to be more exact). However, the design of the keyboard on the mobile screen does not align well with the natural movement of the thumb. It is painful and hideous.
I believe an Arc keyboard on the mobile screen would be the best design. Anyone working on something similar?
This is a great list ..
Probably the reason why Google+ is not working is, no one is really on Google+ :)... Have you tried Facebook Secret Groups?
Some follow-on questions: 1. How often do you visit HN in day? 2. How do you generally spend your time on HN? reading new articles, reading comments, Commenting and participating, or something else? 3. Are you actively looking for a job, or you stumble across a good job posting when doing your normal browsing?

Was not able to frame it correctly. So I have copy pasted your definition and updated the description. :)
My specific question is regarding the https://news.ycombinator.com/jobs
Also, some of the jobs show up on the homepage, how do they fare?
Ask HN: How effective have the job posts on HN been?
I do come across job posts on the home of HN. Job postings by Y Combinator alumni, which are guaranteed to appear on the front page for a period of time. How effective has been these posts? Anyone here who has out the job post and can share some numbers? Anyone who has applied to these job posts? Others, what do you do/think when you see a job post?We are working on a startup idea, and this...
1. Not enough people asking great questions. 2. The answers to questions was only vocal, with no presentation or material to back it up.
The first was easily solved by seeding a few question in the public to get things moving. However the number 2 was a major problem. Many people were not able to connect to the answers/discussions.
I would love to know if you are able to solve the 2nd problem.
Thought I would share my experience.
A good time to think over, prioritize launch over features, etv. 8 months is too long to take for a mvp. What you are building is most certainly not a mvp.
I have gone through similar stage, but it has only made me wiser.
All the very best.
Who are Early Adopters? How do you find them?
I finished my grad school and then job for 7.5 years. I quit job to startup. Also joined MBA.
Dropped off from the b-school after 2 semester. Found it too boring and too generic. Coursera is much better.
Ask HN: Should we apply to YC, if we are a competitor of a YC Alum?
Our idea is to disrupt a space, where the leader is a YC alum. Should we still apply to YC? Has anything similar happened before?
:( I need to stop thinking pivots.
If someone does offer a new software architecture, and hosting, would people be open to move hackernews there?
What is a safe limit to crawl this data, if I have to absolutely need that data? 30 mins between users? 1 hour between users?
