Ah this is cool, yet to take a full look at the SDK, can i access data in pandas dataframes?
Re:Show HN: Open source AI data analyst locally using CLI on Saturday July 27, 2024 @12:04AM (#41084377)
- Best way to point to a csv, local files, local postgres/mysql and iteratively build a highly accurate system to chat with the data. - We auto generate yaml files so you can transparently edit them and watch real time how the accuracy improves. - You can point to local pdf's and auto generate reports from dashboards.

Overall we felt this is a light weight framework to create a highly accurate personal AI data analyst without any vendor lock-in.

Hi HN, last week we launched Dravid (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=40947238) an AI-Powered CLI Coding Framework and received great feedback.

We thought this would be a great extension to build something similar for data analysts, data engineers and analytics engineers. Few building blocks we've added:

- Natural language to SQL query conversion - PDF Report generation (can use reference files for formatting) - Support for various LLM providers (Claude, OpenAI, Azure, Custom, Ollama) - Interactive chat mode for continuous database querying - Automatic context generation from database schema - Customizable context for improved query accuracy - Optimized for smaller database subsets (up to 10-15 tables)

Would love to hear your feedback on this!

This is awesome, i just tried it myself for a simple form builder that I needed to send out a survey.

I will play around more, at first glance, it might be useful for learning new frameworks/langages that require installation of external dependencies.

what do you wish to do with further?

Love your landing page -- was it designed by a professional?

Updated.
How is this different than Clearbit?

I've been working on an interesting problem at the intersection of B2B and ML. Built a strong pipeline of high growth companies in the bay area. Currently, at $20k ARR with an MVP I built myself.

I'm an engineer turned founder. Looking for another technical co-founder who's either into ML (or) into general app building.

I'm based out of SF and would love to chat! Email in my account.

What's your e-mail? pinging you.
>I think it was because I was an overseas employee and the founders just didn't shell out equity to people who were not based out of US.

Isn't that illegal ?

Met my co-founder arbitrarily and had to end the relationship because of this very reason - he would spend the entire day looking at competition and freaking out about it. Was a bad sign!
Well it started off with Microsoft in the 90's, then Google in 2000's and then it just became common for every company in SV to conduct these programming interviews.

Thanksgiving and Christmas - best days to fly. Especially if you are not seeing family either of those days.
Re:Running Your Company by Patrick Collison [video] on Thursday October 04, 2018 @11:29AM (#18140787)
Yep, pretty disappointing.
What % of the current company (startup) did you own when you were made the offer originally ?
what equity % did you get ?
Re:Ask HN: How did you get started as a freelancer? on Wednesday September 19, 2018 @12:32AM (#18021681)
Is anyone on gigster or upwork ? I've taken a few months off work and I want to do some freelancing to make money on the side and also stay up to date but I'm unable to find quality work out there.
Founder from India, got accepted into the advisor track. Hit me up.

Yes. It takes a good 10 years to build / IPO a company. Also they've funded a bunch of companies outside the US / Europe region where IPO markets are not as friendly.

> First, he conflates the use of currency with fiction. Currency doesn't need fiction to function, it can be survive even if every human was completely rational and couldn't be tricked with fiction. That's because the mechanism that gives currency its value is game theoretic equilibrium / focal point.

Disagree. Currency exists because humans cooperate on a common medium of transaction. If cooperation didn't exist (via fiction), then the equilibrium wouldn't exist.

What about closed captions for the hearing impaired ? I have a friend who works in tech in SF and he has trouble doing video interviews because of this. He is really good at lip reading but sometimes it's really hard to follow.

The closed captions generation doesn't have to work in real time.

Love the idea. Faced this several times myself while traveling.
Bang on! "I’m an investor, can I access your user base? The short answer is maybe.", sounded very shady. Not sure I can trust them with some very personal information.
Re:Elixir at PagerDuty on Thursday June 14, 2018 @10:48PM (#17317167)
There is already some work out there since Elixir lends perfectly for parallelization of computation and is also immutable. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE0h9DURSOo and http://www.automatingthefuture.com/blog/2016/9/7/artificial-...

Great work, DM'ing you
Once again sensationalism. I watched that interview. Sam's take on AI is perhaps the most practical I've seen in popular media, while everyone is freaking about a singularity event.
