Wake Up Call Service | Remote | Hiring people to make calls | At your convenience, no set hours
Wake Up Call Service is a mobile app on iOS and Android that allows people to schedule a wake up call and get a call from a real, friendly human at the desired time. All calls happen through the app, so no phone numbers are exchanged. Get a chance to wake up sleepy people from all over the world!
Apply in the app - it's super simple: https://www.realwakeupcalls.com
I never tested this but always suspected it. When I learned that providers differentiate themselves on how they optimize and host the model (otherwise, why would you choose one over another?), I figured some were less "give me the best possible experience" than others.
I'm still iterating on my little mobile app :)
It's an app that allows you to schedule a wake-up call and get a real call from a friendly person, somewhere in the world. No phone numbers exchanged. All calls happen through VoIP in the app.
Random aside: I distinctly remember getting on a phone call with people from the SEC (US Gov't) with the goal of understanding if I could legally start a prediction market. This was during 2020 or 2021. I recall them saying basically "no way" and that it wouldn't be legal, and would be rife with abuse.
Fun times.
I've got a mobile app.
It allows you to get a wake up call from someone friendly, somewhere out there in the world.
It's got a handful of regular users and it's mostly me making the calls, but it's great fun to wake people up!
No phone number required - these are VoIP calls via the app.
Built it because I think it's cool.
But why, in recent years, has the US not taken border control seriously?
I built a mobile app that allows you to get a morning wake up call from a real person. Part of my motivation here was to help add a little human interaction to what is a lonely experience for some people.
There is also no legal "reasonable expectation of privacy" for a license plate displayed on a public road.
I have no FOMO when it comes to Sora. None whatsoever. Authenticity is becoming more important day by day.
You can feel free to ignore. I hope you have a nice rest of your weekend.
Hey, more power to you! Fight for the change you want to see. I would like all people, of all political persuasions, to fight for the change they want to see.
Who would want to live in a cesspool?
Many people are upset, many people aren't. My point is: what are you going to do about it?
Yes, and has continued to spin over millions of years as various atrocities have occurred. The question for everyone: what are you going to do about it?
It doesn't matter what I think. The reality is most people who voted, voted for this or something like this. This will only change at the ballot box, assuming you believe in fair elections.
Certainly depends on who you ask
Nobody really knows the true number.
Some people: "Great, this will help them get criminals and other bad people off the street."
Some other people: "More fascism. This is Trump's version of the SS. It's absolutely horrible and we are doomed if this continues."
The world continues to spin.
It's true that lots of people don't seem to recognize objective truth, or just don't want to admit it. Perception is reality.
How might we influence those powers to do something about this? I can't imagine anyone in opposition except for those who make a living off of squatting.
This is true for one of mine. Bought it for $12.99 a couple of years ago and now GoDaddy is squatting on it, wanting about $5k

I'm sure some of us have had domains and have let them expire. Anything interesting at any of your old domains?
The most popular religions are super wealthy and lucrative
Place your bets...who's it gonna be?
I see strays from time to time and I do often wonder if they belong to someone. Is the idea that I'd be able to report the stray on the app and hope that the owner has the app too and sees my report?
