By that logic we can close Serbian schools in Romania.
Wero has the problem that it depends on Android or iOS.
Not putting all the icons in a circle also gave more space to the actual icon. And the Android 5-6 icons were indeed beautiful.
I prefer what GTK does, leaving a margin on every menu, so that menus with icons or checkboxes do not look inconsistent with the ones with them.
Is it still exclusive to stupidphones if you want to pay online?
Interesting, but of no use as I can't replace its OS.
Not really, but you can't just distribute a changed version as if it were original. That's just as illegal as if it were ND.
Doesn't CC BY require to say what you changed?
It also cannot do tasks it wasn't trained for. It can extend texts, read images and click on a desktop, but only because it's made for that.
Why is there this trent of vibe coded TUIs?
Why not just use system-ui? What's with the irrational Inter love? Is it because it looks like the Macintosh font?
Maybe it is not listed by the OSI, but it is 'open source' in practice, if the source is also in the public domain. The FSF's definition of free software makes more sense not only ideologically, but also because it does not try to be exhaustive.
I said TUI in the title, not CLI.
But why exactly are AI agents using the terminal? Can't they use accessibility tools to read GUIs?
Often there is the Inter font. Corners are usually quite rounded, there are lots of gradients. Also, I sometimes see weird descriptions of what a particular UI element does, even though it's obvious. It's possible that the LLM is putting them as a comment to the operator.

To me, they seem to have limited graphics like CLIs but lose the composability and automation.
It is my post. Sorry for changing the title, but the context is needed and the original was too long.
The EU 'age verification' is currently on the way to require Android or iOS, which I find very wrong, so I have written a proposal in their repository.

Does it even ask for verification? If not, the problem with it is that it seems to require the OS provider (not the local installation) to store the age.
I do not understand the general hype around TUIs. A well-designed GUI can have the same easy navigation, but with proportional fonts, better mouse support, better scrolling and so on.
They even used the correct terminology, 'slop'. I would not support Linkedin, but this is a good thing. I wish more platforms had it.
GNU/Linux, not just Linux.

Non-generative AI is not slop.
I suppose that it will be implemented with that "app" which coerces everyone into having Android or iOS (AOSP won't work, it needs to be attested)?
I don't think that we should want some locked-down insolution forced upon everyone, European or not.
The browser itself is nonfree. I would not be surprised with it promoting more nonfree software.
I find it interesting that it uses GTK, something quite unusual for a proprietary app. In any case, I am not using it, because I don't want to use a nonfree WWW browser.
