I work with principal investigators phd/mds at upenn automating some of their data analysis pipelines.
They have all have secret checklists for bs detection in papers they read. Certain labs set off red flags to them or certain techniques being too fuzzy or easy to mess up.
Every one seems to have their own heuristics, and no one seems to take any article at face value anymore.
I hear PI's say stuff is unreplicable all the time.

I dont think this is fair. Susan is a genius, she has multiple degrees from top universities.
The average person hears things like this and only gets demoralized. Its just like the lean in campaign. What worked for the 1% isnt going to work for the average person.

More money is spent on preventing cancer in women in treatment, research, and preventive medicine.
Google the history of the brca gene, research and tests around it. Its quite amazing.I hope all cancer research gets the pipeline it got.

Not suprising, this goes beyond republican and democrats. Trump is a first president of the new realignment. He destroyed or will destroy the legacy of Clinton, Bush, and Obama.
Its not democrat vs republican to him. Its nationalist vs globalist. The old guard were globalists. This has Thiel and Bannons fingerprints all over it.

Isnt this counter productive to the antibiotic resistance increase ? Alot of animals are given antibiotics, if they had actual human organs wouldnt that make things like swine flu more common and bacterial outbreaks worse?

Basically he wants to retain control of facebook while running for office, I cant imagine this go over well with certain other countries. Especially ones sensitive to nsa leaks, it would just have incredibly poor optics, and just increase the balkanization occuring already.

finite resources on earth can lead to meagar resources which stop infinite growth is what I took from that paper.
So we'd have to get resources from elsewhere like asteroid mining or space colonization.

I voted for Bernie with many other college kids, and we abstained from voting in the presidential when fox news gave us more objective coverage at the dnc protests. It was an truely awakening experience for many of us. just my two cents.
