Are you hiring Java developers right now, haha...
Agreed, lets not try to recreate something like the npm dependency hell.
I went there recently for a friends wedding, and about half the Uber's we took were driving Chinese EV's
What is Satan is simply the emergent system comprised of all of mankinds current desires and actions driven by them?
Yeah, I'm overthinking things but it is fun to wonder.
>In 2 of these states, it just rains all the time
Sounds like the perfect place for me, I love rain. If only the housing was more affordable though.
Unless they are a Public Benefit Corporation, they will eventually go the way of Google and their 'Don't be evil' motto.
>I highly recommend Eric Ries' new book Incorruptible if you want to learn more about this stuff.
Looks like an interesting read, thanks for the recommendation!
Ah, the quote from the Java Windows installer lol.
This is the main reason imo. The people who worked for places like the NSA got plucked up by the private sector who paid them much more.
Yes, its completely unusable on my fire stick. I ended up sideloading the old apk.
I like 'Da Rock' because it reminds me of da orks from Warhammer 40K
Very interesting to see what the streets of a city looked like 200 years ago
>namecheap purchased by private equity CVC in 2025 for $1.5B
Ahhh crap, there goes the company down the toilet. And they were the place I trusted to buy my domain names from.

Recent discussion on Token Ring networks has me wondering, has anyone seen any Token Ring or FDDI networks still running out there?
I remember seeing those same plugs in one of the old office where I work, always thought it was for some old IBM connection, now I know exactly what it is!
I'll admit, that was pretty cool
>For most of recorded history, the bulk of humanity lived as peasants, serfs, or slaves. They were mostly illiterate, bound to the land or to a master, and had little power to bargain over the terms of their (or their children) lives.
I feel like we should be doing everything we can to not revert back to that way of life.
>It also gave me an appreciation for JavaBeanFactoryFactory.
My favorite is SimpleBeanFactoryAwareAspectInstanceFactory
Speaking as a gay dude, it doesn't mean you have to follow a mainstream religion to find spirituality, especially one which tells you that you are an evil person because of who you are. Personally I've taken bits of various eastern religious beliefs which now form my 'spirituality'.
It's weird, its like there is some part of our mind that requires something spiritual to fill it, and has been that way every since recorded history. People have always looked for something higher than themselves, whether is be a god or gods, or the idea of nature or the universe, or any matter of similar ideas. And filling that part of our minds with a belief in something, seems to put the mind at ease in some ways. A lot of medical literature I've read includes 3 parts of yourself that you need to take care of: mind, body and spirit. So I really do believe there is something behind it.
>We also don’t know if this person did it under duress.
He was a Saudi national, so that is a possibility
Probably went to a prestigious university or had connections.
I'm guessing countries are now starting to realize this. I bet new datacenters will start being built underground or reinforced concrete bunkers
>Safari is also an awful browser in that it requires someone to buy an expensive machine to see if their site works on it.
I remember a long time ago they used to make a Windows version of Safari you could download and install, but at some point they stopped.
I remember back in 2014 we had a class in assembly (we used x86 assembly running in DOSbox). One of the projects I most vividly remember was writing a simple paint program controlled using the arrow keys.
Seems like the perfect tool for people with bad social anxiety and insecurity, and least that's my guess.
iirc 3090's doesn't have NVLink, or at least the one I have doesn't/
I've always wondered if its possible to just buy and install the panels yourself.
>“When our products are used in ways that can affect someone's health, legal rights, finances, livelihood, or access to essential services, we require there to be a qualified ‘human in the loop’ (that is, someone who has the authority to review and, if necessary, change Claude’s recommendations), and for the individual affected to be told that AI was used.”
This is actually good policy imo, if you are using AI in a way that can negatively someone's life there should be a human involved.
