Re:Websites Should Be Printable on Tuesday October 27, 2026 @08:57AM (#50258458)
This is why I don't use max-width and it gets on my nerves when websites do. You control the size of your window
Re:How I got over 300 Tor exit nodes removed on Tuesday October 20, 2026 @08:38PM (#50174622)
I use Tor for NAT traversal. I ssh into my home computers over Tor all the time

Really glad to see the rate of security fixes speeding up.
Awesome!
The author frames this as "either accept this highly counterintuitive result, or take it as a reason to doubt materialism, or find a principled criterion that excludes entities like this" but honestly this doesn't really strike me as highly counterintuitive
Re:HarnessTax: How Much Does the Harness Matter for Coding Agents? on Wednesday September 16, 2026 @09:24PM (#49735307)
claude code feels mildly shitty to use in the way that every other vibe-coded-project-got-out-of-hand project does, which is like, not that bad, but it's fucking ridiculous for a 2 trillion dollar company's main companion product

Re:Why I'm still bearish on LLMs after navier-stokes on Tuesday September 15, 2026 @06:43PM (#49719881)
I really appreciate seeing a tempered take that's not literally denialist about current capabilities.
Re:I'm being cyberattacked by Tesla, Inc on Sunday September 13, 2026 @05:29PM (#49688925)
nope, it really is assetnote's intentional testing going to the wrong target
Re:I'm being cyberattacked by Tesla, Inc on Sunday September 13, 2026 @03:22PM (#49687663)
Yeah, I'll try to do this, but I can't find anything better than the generic contact form.
Re:I'm being cyberattacked by Tesla, Inc on Sunday September 13, 2026 @02:44PM (#49687286)
I'm aware how much crap there is on the Internet, I just think the specific nature of this (legitimate commercial vuln scanner thinks I'm Tesla) is funny
Re:I'm being cyberattacked by Tesla, Inc on Sunday September 13, 2026 @02:43PM (#49687278)
pool-ntp.tesla.com --CNAME--> pool.ntp.org --GeoDNS--> thousands of possible servers, biased heavily by user location
Re:I'm being cyberattacked by Tesla, Inc on Sunday September 13, 2026 @02:34PM (#49687175)
Oh absolutely, I just think the specific nature of this (legitimate commercial vuln scanner thinks I'm Tesla) is funny

Re:I'm being cyberattacked by Tesla, Inc on Sunday September 13, 2026 @02:33PM (#49687161)
I thought about trying this, but MPIC makes it very very very difficult (the round-robin has some geolocation magic baked in regarding what server it connects you to).
Re:I'm being cyberattacked by Tesla, Inc on Sunday September 13, 2026 @02:29PM (#49687095)
Yes, they should absolutely be using a vendor zone instead of a CNAME under tesla.com.
Re:I'm being cyberattacked by Tesla, Inc on Sunday September 13, 2026 @02:28PM (#49687085)
It's HTTP requests, not NTP requests, and the volume isn't the problem, it's that Assetnote is sending live exploit payloads /at all/ to a stranger on Tesla's behalf
