This was a really stupid move. Isn't the Python Foundation almost exactly $1.5 million over budget?

According to their recent post they only have 6 months of runway before going broke. https://pyfound.blogspot.com/2025/10/connecting-the-dots.htm...

Google makes enough money from adwords that they can afford one public good like a free video sharing website.

You know what likes CO2? Plants.
Yet another reason companies are fleeing California
Remember in the 1980s when movies were good? Can we go back to that?
Pensions should be outlawed. If employees want retirement savings they should be given money for 401k plans, not outdated and inefficient defined benefit plans.
When will the people of San Francisco wake up and realize that their soft-on-crime approach is wrong?

If SF took crime seriously and actually hunted down criminals and put them in jail then normal citizens could live normal lives.

Now 25% - 60% faster!
I really wish we held large internet platforms to the same standards we do to the phone company or the power company. You shouldn't be able to decline service just because you dislike a customer.

It's getting rather scary that the internet is so centralized these days and anyone who speaks out against the Cathedral loses their ability to speak.

The democrats are completely out of touch with the people they're supposed to serve. Let's hope the dems lose both the House & Senate in November so we can regain some normalcy.

What's wrong with mocking HR? It's so easy to have a meritocracy rather than measuring the immutable characteristics of your employees...

I can't fathom how HR can justify selective racism without lawsuits galore.

Re:Why Germany won’t keep its nuclear plants open on Friday April 15, 2022 @12:38AM (#31036643)
If you want to be green then nuclear power is the only logical option. Wind farms kill birds and solar destroys landscapes.
Censoring ideas just makes them more popular. If YouTube wanted to do the right thing they'd let people debate openly, instead this will just push people further into their respective echo chambers.
Can we all agree that censorship sucks? I've been using Odysee/LBRY which has a P2P video platform and all of the metadata is stored on blockchain.
I'm overjoyed that finally someone famous has the balls to combat cancel culture.

I'm seeing it too in Firefox 69. Trying to debug and get this fixed as soon as possible. Thanks for the heads up!

Hey man, I'm one of the developers for VoxSnap and wanted to debug the issue you had. We didn't program anything that would affect the browser history state so I'm a little confused about the issue you saw. Could you let me know what browser you're using and the problem you experienced? Thx, robd003
