Re:Food delivery startup Wolt raises $530M on Monday January 25, 2021 @09:33AM (#25903498)
Loving Wolt. Btw, try tapping on the time estimate circle after placing an order. What's the highest score you ever got? :)
Can you elaborate on your practice how you do it?
Does she reply to emails/tweets/texts via her smartwatch + airpods combo?

Did she use her phone to read articles on the go? If yes, how is she getting this done with this setup?

Re:Hearables That Leave Your Ear Open on Monday August 19, 2019 @10:49AM (#20738217)
Bone conduction has come a long way. Sound quality for calls/podcasts/audio books is comparable to regular in-ear headphones. Music quality is sufficient for everyday listening - it performs well in highs and mids, however, bass is not as strong.

Have you ever tried bone conduction headphones?

Re:Tasty Seaweed Reduces Cows’ Methane Emissions by 99% on Friday August 16, 2019 @04:31AM (#20713218)
Your argument implies that cows who did not eat seaweed survived and therefore we see cows not eating seaweed now.

Since cows cannot live underwater and seaweed does not grow outside water, these "two worlds" could not meet and the outcome of their interaction is unknown. It might work, it might not, however, evolution was not here yet.

Do you have any concrete examples of good quality clothing e-stores?
Re:European Parliament approves copyright reform on Tuesday March 26, 2019 @04:11PM (#19495569)
There were two votes: (1) Amendments to the Directive, (2) vote on the whole directive.

Amendments did not pass 312-317 and Directive passed 3xx-247 (cant recall the exact numbers)

This is a misleading headline. What they mean by pollution is just sulfur not necessarily CO2 or other gases/particles.

Read the article.

Re:Ask HN: My country is getting worse. Where to go? on Sunday October 14, 2018 @10:30AM (#18213028)
What is your thinking behind "the country is getting worse?" What is the threshold between "it is bad but ill carry on" and " I need to move out?" What are the factors?

Genuinly interested as these types of decisions are immensly interesting.

Have you ever faced the decision to leave your "home"? There are many variables to consider that question the very existential beliefs of a person. "Smart" means different things. Furthermore, the outside environment as well as the inside world of a person is always plastic so the threshold between staying and leaving is very murky. By the time, it is "obvious" to leave, it is often too late.

Re:Facebook – You are the Product on Wednesday August 16, 2017 @05:06PM (#15031380)
Fb was taking too much of my time and attention since it was super easy to scroll either mobile or desktop.

What worked for me:

1. Delete facebook app from phone (hiding it didnt work) 2. Install Newsfeed eradicator chrome extension

Result: still maintaining communication with friends via messenger app and checking facebook only once in a while for events etc. News Feed was the attention grabber.

Helped me to get back attention and time. Would recommend.
