Re:I'm in a Meeting on Saturday October 10, 2026 @12:33PM (#50034519)
As a first search result, with an ad label is the most common way. I also saw the occasional "regular" ad roll and "sponsored" videos in my feed or whatever it's called.
Re:I'm in a Meeting on Friday October 09, 2026 @06:05PM (#50027163)
I've been a YouTube premium member twice. Both times, a few months in they start showing ads anyway. Fewer, but still not none.

Fun and cool. The News made me chuckle.

Text editors? IDEs? Compilers? Cloud providers? Operating systems? Frameworks?

I gave up clicking skip this pair faster than OP, so perhaps you have some of these.

Re:What Happened to the Snowden Archive on Monday September 21, 2026 @11:03AM (#49788221)
All of the evidence that I've personally seen is on the DOJ website. When you repeat "zero" and "none" over and over... where are you getting that information? It's very very definitive and I'm not sure how anyone could be so confident about something impossible like proving a negative. Do the victim statements not count for you because you've decided that they're "highly compensated" ... an assertion for which you provide no evidence?

A great distraction from what?

You can choose to dismiss the evidence that does exist because of your biases, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

What is the cost you mention that's larger than I think? You keep doing this sort of thing... throwing out these weighty statements, but they're never concrete; never backed up with anything other than your conjecture. Why should anyone listen to you?

By what standards are the files "overhyped" ? Also to what hysteria do you refer? What would we experience if it was a massive pedo conspiracy of extremely rich and powerful people? Would they all just line up and turn themselves in?
Re:What Happened to the Snowden Archive on Sunday September 20, 2026 @08:20PM (#49781578)
Neither of those are theories. Both are well documented and have had public hearings and governmental disclosure.
Re:Bill to Ban Private Equity from Owning Medical Practices on Sunday September 20, 2026 @07:45PM (#49781347)
A and B are due to regulations?
Re:Show HN: I built an aesthetically pleasing puzzle on Monday September 07, 2026 @09:03PM (#49604553)
I found this very challenging. Thanks for making it.
Re:Nvidia agrees to acquire Hugging Face for $13B on Wednesday August 26, 2026 @09:46PM (#49458425)
Anyone old enough to remember anti trust laws or even just laws?
Re:Nebula Sans on Wednesday August 26, 2026 @09:06PM (#49458111)
Nebula is very much my cup of tea in theory but the android app is So Bad that I unsubbed. Watching a long video and need to stop? Better luck next time, we're not about to save your spot. Didn't remember the exact name of something? Good luck finding it again. Not at all interested in a certain creator? Too bad! You're going to see them whenever they produce.
Why does crime happen?
Re:The Dunning-Kruger Effect Is Probably Not Real on Monday August 03, 2026 @08:16PM (#49162987)
The one that doesn't exist?
Great pushback. Thanks for calling that out, that's on me.

Why is error in quotes?

Re:Tidal AI Policy on Monday June 29, 2026 @09:45AM (#48719232)
Interestingly, this is a 404 if you're logged into Tidal.
I'm a knowledge worker who, like many, have had a stressful time with the rise of LLMs. The other day I realized that we've had drum machines since the late 70s but we still have drummers. I'm sure there are flaws in this analogy but it helped me to calm down.
Re:Where every major LLM stands politically on Thursday June 25, 2026 @07:27PM (#48680526)
Isn't it completely subjective to the point in time Overton window?
Re:/e/OS 4.0 is here on Friday June 12, 2026 @07:17PM (#48510502)
Chose USA and English and got redirected to a 404.
Re:Lies We Tell Ourselves About Email Addresses on Tuesday June 09, 2026 @10:03PM (#48470408)
I have a gmail address that at least three other people think is their address. I constantly get emails for the dumb stuff they sign up for. NONE of them ever have an "I didn't request this" link. I mean, I get it. That won't make them money, but oh man is it annoying.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but could this be modified to create tab from a live performance? I improvised a solo with my band recently and it was a big hit and I'm feeling too lazy to transcribe it.
Help me out with KRP's hidden meaning.
Re:Halt and Catch Fire on Saturday May 16, 2026 @06:16PM (#48164238)
All four leads are flawless and I can't really think of a single bad performance.
Re:Tiled Words 6 Month Update on Wednesday April 29, 2026 @05:04PM (#47954635)
I'd imagined a big "calendar" type layout that shows small links to every puzzle ever.
Re:Tiled Words 6 Month Update on Tuesday April 28, 2026 @11:33AM (#47935977)
I love the game. Thank you for making it. Please make doing older puzzles easier. Right now I have to open them in new tabs since your pagination is a moving target.
Re:LittleSnitch for Linux on Friday April 10, 2026 @11:53AM (#47719993)
Why are you in a thread about Linux software if you hate it so much? Just felt like spreading some negativity?
