While its true for a lot of Bitcoin users, one of our goals was to make bitcoin more accessible to the public and the average person who is interested in bitcoin but doesn't quite know how to get started.
We are using Facebook as a trust network.
I occasionally did some consulting jobs. Put it this way, some people make about $500 a month in Malaysia (which is more than enough to survive comfortably on). When you charge $100+ an hour you can make more in a day than the locals make in a month.
I probably shouldn't say yet, suit is still ongoing and isn't settled yet.

Just got my HM in my in box, and as always it looks beautiful. Congrats on the two year milestone :)
dcovery.com looks promising, but its not released yet.
Sadly no, I had to adjust the ship time. bearwithclaws is now $5 richer. But we shipped!
Then you beat the system :) but then why pledge yourself in the first place?
thats a great idea. We are just testing the concept out right and scratching our own itch/problem. Figured $5 was the simplest thing we could do to start.
We had a few ideas on how to iterate from here. a kick-starter model is something we considered, but wanted to start with something really small for people to try out first.
Starting is easy, shipping is hard.
I have a folder on my computer with a number of unfinished/unshipped projects. We created Sink or Ship to address the problem of following though and shipping what you started.

Starting a project is easy, but finishing is hard. I have a folder with 20+ unfinished/unshipped projects. Am I the only one that has the problem of being unable to ship things?
In the Menu, Product > Archive. If you want to distribute your application you'll need to make sure that its properly code signed.
And checkout Testflight https://testflightapp.com/ they have lots of resources on how to build and distribute Ad Hoc builds which are builds that you can give to people.

The problem is that we launched on HackerNews which generally has a more Male audience.
We are going to try to get more females on PairMixer though other channels.
Thanks, how about access to your API :)
False. Everyone on the site is real.
thanks for the feedback. Editing your personal profile is a requirement after signing up, if you would like to view other members. As for the leading questions great suggestion, our goal for launching was just to get things going first.
it was a placeholder. We fixed it.
No its not a real testimonial. Thanks for the heads up. It was left over from our designs. We've changed it.
After Pair was released, I wanted try this "thumbkiss" thing to see what it was all about. The problem was I had no one to pair with. So I figured hey wouldn’t it be fun to create directory of singles to pair with, and so I created PairMixer over the weekend with my friend (bearwithclaws). I reversed engineered the Pair's private API so pairing is done "automagically".
What do you guys think?
