For PHP, been using F3 (https://fatfreeframework.com/3.8/home) for a long time. It light and gets things done fast. Even made a CMS out of it.
very impressive - will definitely try it out!

Reminds me of http://toogl.es/ Is there something on the left column? It's empty on Chrome.

Re:Sexism in Twitter Bootstrap: "One fine body..." on Tuesday July 30, 2013 @05:57PM (#6130315)
I think this refers to the body of the modal box.. The word body has a lot of meanings. Maybe it should say 'One fine HTML body...'
Can't find any reference to Texas.
Take a look at videowatchr.com and toogl.es - they get content from Youtube via JS. Are you looking for HTML5 or native apps?

It's for Doug Engelbart. The inventor of the computer mouse. He died today.
Re:Show HN: Google Glass feed (allgoogleglass.com) on Wednesday May 29, 2013 @11:38AM (#5786854)
Thanks for the feedback. I'm using Arual Light generated by FontSquirrel and I think FF does not support font-smoothing. Will find a fix though.
Re:What a stupid idea on Tuesday April 30, 2013 @08:28PM (#5635748)
I like the first line on the last paragraph - "The future is extremely hard to see through the lens of the present."

What we do in the present can affect the future but we can not predict what will actually happen. There's too much variables involved.

Re:Why Video Discovery Startups All Fail on Thursday April 18, 2013 @01:54PM (#5572029)
This made me think.. and I believe you're correct. Got this video discovery site I've been working on for some time on videowatchr.com and it's going nowhere. Thinking of abandoning it.

Re:Show HN: A simpler way to watch videos on Friday March 22, 2013 @05:23PM (#5425874)
Thanks. It refers to the simpler interface. Just the video thumbs, text links and responsive layout. It's still a work in progress though.
Re:Show HN: A simple YouTube experience on Tuesday March 19, 2013 @03:51PM (#5403161)
Thank you for the comment. The site's been around for 2+ yrs already and has undergone a lot of revisions. The site is missing a lot of usability features (the previous version got a playlist feature but I got no time at the moment to improve it).

The site is evolving and I may add other video sources and more features at some point. For now, the site offers a simple and straightforward way to watch the videos.

The big Q is why? - Yes, at some point, I have asked myself that question too.. I made the site as a side project and has been attached to it ever since.. Tweaking and improving it.. At some point, I told myself to stop because it's getting nowhere. Now, I realized the site helped me learn new things on every revision. New concepts and techniques. I guess the site will continue to evolve with me and be part of my journey. As for the name, the one with the correct spelling was already taken.
