Re:Cloud in a Bottle: making self-hosting accessible to everyone on Saturday September 05, 2026 @10:23PM (#49582710)
Great project! I have had conversations along these lines with my colleagues for quite some time now. Will definitely try.

The docs mention cloudinabottle.toml but the app repos all have openhost.toml. Did you folks change the name of the platform?

Also, can you point to how the unified auth works? Couldn't find anything in the manifest spec.

*oath. For a while it got me wondering how OAuth figures in all this.

Do we need a 'no means no' campaign for LLMs?
Do what you are asked to ≠ Your duty.

Duty of a warrior is to fight for his country/tribe/side. Duty of a king might be to reduce suffering for his subjects.

It will just be a matter of time when the "authority" turns its back on the elites.

I think you have to fill in "additional details" field for it to work. I did it and it worked alright
> because in the end it wasn’t the size of the asteroid, the scale of blast, or even its global reach that made dinosaurs extinct – it was where the impact happened

> An impact in the nearby Atlantic or Pacific oceans would have meant much less vaporised rock – including the deadly gypsum. The cloud would have been less dense and sunlight could still have reached the planet’s surface

Makes you wonder what life on earth would be like if the impact happened a few minutes earlier or later.

I don't understand how this helps in improving performance. Can you elaborate?

I have probably started using konsole because it was the default, but have since liked it a lot. I use tmux whenever I want to split windows, synchronize keystrokes and things like that but for all else, konsole works perfectly well.

I have set it up in a way that I don't see any clutter. You can hide whatever you don't want to see on the UI. All I see is the terminal and the tabs.

The killer feature is the 'monitor for silence' and 'monitor for activity'. Comes quite handy for long running background tasks that you want to monitor.

1.0275 ^ 45 = 3.389

3.389 - 1 (to account for increase) = 2.38 ~ 239%

Same. I have been using this in Yakuake since 5 years but I never knew it was called a "quake mode"

I am a happy konsole user. I have bookmarked all the tabs relevant to my project, in a folder. As soon as I start konsole, I open the folder in tabs.

Then as a ritual (and a bit of OCD), I quickly cycle through all the tabs with Shift-Right Arrow once.

No doubt. But I think the grand parent wanted to point out to a possible solution for anyone looking for one.

I was blown away by Pillars of the Earth.

I had never read a historical fiction before it. It is so well crafted, showing different characters and their perspectives, all in the backdrop of medieval England.
