Nice! Any plans for Firefox support?
Re:TurboTax is blitzing Congress for the right to tax YOU on Monday February 20, 2023 @07:27PM (#34874835)
Actually, I believe TurboTax has successfully lobbied congress so that it's illegal for the IRS to do that. https://www.propublica.org/article/inside-turbotax-20-year-f...
We need to taxes vehicles by weight. Vehicle weight is the biggest contributor to road surface wear. The damage cause by trucks accounts for 99% of road surface damage. [0]https://www.insidescience.org/news/how-much-damage-do-heavy-...
Great to hear! One suggestion; I think it would be great to have an integration with smartphones Contact apps. This way a user can leverage autocomplete and do not disturb rules on mobile.
True. But they are not calling for a completely open system. I like this proposal from the author.

> Change blacklisting protocols so they are not permanent and use an exponential cooldown penalty. After spam is detected from an IP, it should be banned for, say, ten minutes. Then, a day. A week. A month, and so on. This discourages spammers from reusing IPs after the ban is lifted and will allow the IP pool to be cleaned over time by legitimate owners.

> There should be a recourse for legitimate servers. I'm not asking for a blank check. I don't mind doing some paperwork or paying a fee to prove I'm legit. Spammers will not do that, and if they do, they will get blacklisted anyways after sending more spam.

But Big Tech will not do that because they will gain more from eliminating the competition.

According to the author, IOS makes new connections outside of the tunnel after the VPN was enable. There is no effective workaround.

Most of the remaining walkable neighborhoods in the states were built before that time period too. It’s unfortunate that we let automakers and fossil fuel interests take our cities hostage with car dependent designs.

The Americans with Disabilities Act says you need sidewalks.

Just fyi, you can delete individual cookies in the developer tools.

Very interesting. Not sure I understand what the "Local Market Aggregators" are. Are they aggregating on each self-hosted API into a single API ?

Is that like a local cache?

Re:Show HN: OneDev – A Lightweight GitLab Alternative on Sunday January 19, 2020 @01:36AM (#22089836)
the performance of the 'blame' view is so much better than Gitlab. Great job!
There is a branch of government in charge of large software projects: https://www.usds.gov
How do you (or who does) quantify a "a fair share of the profits based on their contribution" ?
The analogy doesn't work because all the content on google is free to users. I would argue that in a world where 5-star restaurants cost the same as Burger King, they would experience more demand than Burger King.
Would an open source peer-to-peer personals board qualify as a 'platform' under this bill ?

Amazing idea. On Chrome Android the extended virtual keyboard seems to mess up the layout. You can test this in development in chrome desktop in the dev console's mobile view.

Also, clicking 'next step' doesn't seem to work for me. Good luck!

Nice! I wish there was a way to import from Coinbase
