Irony of the millenium! Wasn't Bitcoin supposed to "free" us from the banks, "speculative" finanacial institutions and centralised control? Guess human greed trumps everything!

Thanks for the link! I see there are some organisations already in my area - I'll read up and research a bit more. It would be great to say in touch. I'd love to connect and keep in touch - is there a secure and private way to share email or IMs?

Could you please elaborate?

My initial thoughts are that it will be a free entity. As per local regulations in Europe, this can't be a tax exempted enterprise either. So basically a cooperative or a private business with a non profit charter. You make an interesting point - I never thought about advocacy groups and the PR risks they might carry. I was more thinking about end users/consumers and private businesses. I suppose that is a risk you carry irrespective I guess - even if you were a private, for profit business.

This makes me sick to the gut. Every creature and person shares this space and as Illogical or logical this may sound, I don't my "share" of the sky and universe to be polluted. I refuse to allow a company to bombard me with radio frequencies most of which is probably going to be used for nonsensical you/tube/porn, movies etc. I don't want anyone to pollute/do anything to my share of the planet/universe without me having a say in it.
What are the licensing terms if I want to contribute?

Is it prudent to use Scala for anything new?

Is it worth using Scala for new projects that don't use Spark? There seems to be a trend to not use Scala for anything new and either use Kotlin for functional programming or use Go where parallaisation is required. PySpark is popular among Spark folks. So, is it worth building anything new in Scala?
