Thanks, added clarification that it's one possible explanation.
Re:Extreme layout shift at Lufthansa's profile page on Thursday October 01, 2026 @07:52AM (#49920486)
I know because it’s obvious by looking at the loading experience.
Re:Extreme layout shift at Lufthansa's profile page on Thursday October 01, 2026 @07:52AM (#49920478)
I have read and edited it multiple times.
Re:Extreme layout shift at Lufthansa's profile page on Thursday October 01, 2026 @07:30AM (#49920321)
Because it's a much bigger org change with lower probability of happening
Re:Extreme layout shift at Lufthansa's profile page on Thursday October 01, 2026 @07:29AM (#49920314)
Because IMHO it's an important topic and I did take considerable time to do it. Please check out the image then. Thanks
Re:Extreme layout shift at Lufthansa's profile page on Thursday October 01, 2026 @06:37AM (#49920022)
Cumulative Layout Shift is out of control and in the case of Lufthansa it’s so ridiculous I had to vibe an article about it. Do you think shifting is not a big deal? How would you improve the solution suggestions? Thanks

This has been my only serious complaint about the Mac for 20 years and fixed it with my first vibe Mac app a year ago: https://gitlab.com/spacest/InputLanguageKeeper (no keylogging) Does this app fix Spotlight getting current language instead of system default?
Completely ignoring accessibility
Re:It Will Never Be the Year of the Linux Desktop on Friday May 29, 2026 @11:51AM (#48324798)
It has many advantages but also serious issues. On the latest Ubuntu, I started downloading a game from the App Store during a background OS update and it locked up so bad I had to run the terminal with a hot key to salvage it. That’s not a real desktop experience.
Interesting, would be nice to see a demo video apart from that unclear GIF
Re:Flickr: The First and Last Great Photo Platform on Sunday April 26, 2026 @01:03AM (#47907529)
They introduced a limit to 1000 photos, I deleted almost everything, then somehow they didn’t go through with the limitation, only warning me about nearing 1000 photos. Anyone knows what exactly happened?
Re:I Ported Mac OS X to the Nintendo Wii on Wednesday April 08, 2026 @01:32PM (#47693503)
Great, how about on iPhone?
MacBook Pro M5 Pro and M5 Max have such SSD speed
Good one. Presentation is good too. Thanks
Re:I asked Claude Code to remove jQuery. It failed miserably on Friday February 13, 2026 @09:07AM (#47002867)
Refactoring jQuery to vanilla JS was one of my first AI dev experiences a couple of years ago and it was great.
Re:Apple, What Have You Done? on Monday January 26, 2026 @05:22AM (#46763888)
Not sure the App Store field should autofocus. Mac menus draw the frame first, then after a delay we see the items. That is inexcusable
Re:Can you slim macOS down? on Wednesday January 21, 2026 @05:07AM (#46703432)
Pixelmator Pro
Re:Apple Creator Studio on Tuesday January 13, 2026 @10:02AM (#46601879)
Pixelmator Pro is fantastic. I've forgotten about Photoshop for many years. Just buy it.
Re:It's hard to justify Tahoe icons on Monday January 05, 2026 @08:28AM (#46498513)
Great points and my favourite: The menu now draws a blank frame first, then populates it with items. Sometimes taking up to half a second. Nobody noticed this?

Re:Replacing JavaScript with Just HTML on Sunday December 28, 2025 @01:31AM (#46408950)
You can’t force it to be always open on desktop and collapsible on mobile. That was a deal breaker for me.
Re:Modalz Modalz Modalz on Sunday December 21, 2025 @12:23PM (#46346412)
Not sure opening a new tab would be viable, as they are sometimes blocked unless you tap a small permission button. Becomes much more confusing and unfriendly
Re:Microsoft Word Is Immortal on Thursday December 18, 2025 @03:50PM (#46318503)
Interesting. Strangely, no mention of HTML, whose tables can do colspan. Just don’t add CSS
Re:Is Mozilla trying hard to kill itself? on Wednesday December 17, 2025 @05:48AM (#46300445)
Just when I re-started using it because of the vertical tabs.
