A new service manager for Linux distributions. The last piece of a full alternative to systemd. https://skarnet.com/projects/service-manager.html. This is a proof of concept, it does not yet have its final form.

That should be no problem: he posted exactly *because* he meant to take full responsibility for his actions.
Correct, otherwise we need another phrase for when he would pay for damages, like "the fullest responsibility" or "the absolutely utmost responsibility".

I must congratulate you.

An innovative approach. And by submitting a PR on Friday afternoon, you might get a free hand to do anything you like!

But there exists a manager who is the nearest common ancestor of your and their manager.

what is "build call"?
This is only one side of the story. No doubt European states have been vassals of the USA since WWII, but this was also what the USA had for a long time encouraged them to do: USA provided security, in return Europe did what it was told to. One reason was also because the USA did not want another strong army in Europe. The USA no longer likes this deal, OK, this is a change of course, to which everyone tries to adapt somehow.
But the cost still finds its way to the end price of the product.
I notice that you have answered in considerably less time than the duration of the video.
But it would be hard to keep up with a country which has grown its GDP by 50 times since 1990, like China did.

They were neither anti-EV in the past nor will they stop producing Internal Combustion Engine vehicles in the future
I don't know what they are even trying to claim. They cannot seriously shrug off responsibility to AI. The Iranian government's description of the US military as "child-killing" is 100% truthful and Minab might be the worst example, but it is far from being the only one. Even in the comments here in this thread you find more examples.
The solution would seem to be preventing that "Buyer (AI) has crazy money". They already have borrowed billions and are only generating losses so the money should run out. It just needs to be made sure that nobody (taxpayers) will rescue them.

That is exactly how six-year-olds think.

Guidelines: Please don't use Hacker News for political or ideological battle. Please don't post insinuations about astroturfing.

I don't for a moment believe that, but apparently arguments that cannot possibly be proven are in vogue nowadays.

Governments: come in and nationalize AI easily because it has broken every law anyway.
Do you think the criticism in the article "Why I no longer recommend Julia" about correctness is still valid? * there are too many correctness and composability bugs throughout the ecosystem to justify using it in just about any context where correctness matters *

The sum of 12 billion USD would be correct for paper gold probably. But in practice, the supply of paper gold exceeds that of physical gold.

For the monthly price of Spotify, one could rent a VPS and host Navidrome on it. In case you already have spare capacity, then it might be (almost) free.
I always followed trial and error until I reached my target and I had the feeling that my results were much better than if I were randomly clicking buttons. That is, some memory always remained. Or the menu is well thought out and has some consistency.

So I have to make it plainer. Those factories are not all in Ukraine. The governments of the countries who host the factories have switched their rhetoric from 2023. Back then it was "oh, we cannot arm Ukraine with weapons with range longer than 100 km, because then according to international law we are complicit in attacking Russia and Russia has a legal right to strike us back". But in 2026 attacks on non-military targets are celebrated by the same governments who are now proud to have contributed to the hits.

Trump himself understands little of everything he does. He cannot be bothered to read simple texts, but he prefers images. His attention span is very short. So he is somewhat like a toddler. But in the end of course he does sign decisions and orders, even though he might have not read them fully. Someone else writes those documents he signs.

Public administration in Europe has already started moving away from the american hyperscalers. This is of course happening at the usual speed which is characteristic of all public administration.

I don't know about the truthness of this claim, but you are definitely getting the upvote for the humour.

Of course, being a German is not relevant, nor does it preclude you from displaying anti-german bias.
