Come learn about solar power, the grid, virtual irradiance (huh?) and build really fun/weird things for data scientists to help make solar power more affordable for homeowners. Re:The Fruits of Immigration on Monday July 18, 2011 @06:35PM (#2778655)
I'm confused.. the alternative to child labor is human trafficking?
Re:The Fruits of Immigration on Monday July 18, 2011 @06:04PM (#2778505)
Your logic fails when taken to the extreme. Child labor is used to manufacture clothes in some depoliticized districts around the world. Should we sit back and say, "Hey those guys need money and should be able to get a job and work for it just like us!" Or should we change our manufacturing/distribution methods to encourage more american produced goods?

Re:Impressions : The Decline of Flash on Tuesday June 21, 2011 @07:30PM (#2680846)

Yes, we could give you the logs,.. but if we have a multiple tenants in one machine, then the logs are going to show those users activity as well... This is a little trickier than made out to be.. Still doable, but some of the companies/products mentioned, (i.e. Salesforce) have customers on there that wouldn't want you seeing they're activity. You could begin to draw assumptions about some salesforce customer you share a machine with by looking at their log activity. That company would then not be very happy with salseforce...

Better question - Why are people always trying to subtract something from they're diet? Wouldn't it be better to just eat a well balanced plate?

Re:Where Apple went wrong with free apps on Friday March 18, 2011 @06:54PM (#2342358)
interested in mac programming and small business... whoo boy

seriously though, anyone who suggests excluding free apps would have to be crazy. free users lead to paying users.
