I don’t scroll on the feed I just can’t. I post rarely. It’s very one way.

In fact these are times when I let my mind be still

I don’t open devices more than necessary - on the bus I can’t it literally makes me feel sick to use my phone. I live in an area where it ends up a mix of straight but also windy roads.

On the train to be honest I find myself standing due to seat availability.

So I usually rest when taking public transport. I use it to close my eyes, look out the window or listen to music.

It’s not a human. But it is useful. Heck sometimes it’s even been a senior dev to some of my queries, because I need the knowledge I don’t gave.

But it’s not a human. I can’t coach it and it’s not my friend. Boundaries and purpose

I am no pro muso and can’t read music much but I can say that too much loud music likely has ruined my ears and may have an impact?

I think your proposal through to voting has merit, and a healthy community would pass good proposals, and hopefully you don’t get to an environment where people abstain. That means something is wrong and ultimately abstain is a vote in and of itself.

Self governance could end up like mutiny on the ship (I referred to that above) but we must have some form of governance or we have anarchy.

Pretty much like downvoting, I get downvoted without knowing who or why and is a form of censorship and one or more are offended or just don’t like it. Just cuz you don’t like it doesn’t mean it should be downvoted.

My other comment here on YT shorts being useful is an example. A down vote and all I said is “ I learnt drums for a song I like from shorts. Blanket bans are not a solution”

Take care to not apply so much policy that group think and collectivism takes hold.

The welfare state is a huge failing and the tax base will not cover continued benefits. I’m not in AU but have seen a small tax base try to uphold a large welfare base and think that from what I’ve seen with Australia migration and tax madness it’s only going to get harder there for the common people
