Hi HN,

I'm Stanley, founder of RabbitSign, an unlimited free e-signing service. (Not just a free trial or free tier—completely free.) I'm thrilled to share that the RabbitSign team recently hit a big milestone: RabbitSign has achieved SOC 2 Type II compliance with an unqualified opinion!

For those who might not be familiar with SOC 2, it's a rigorous standard that assesses data security and privacy practices. Achieving SOC 2 Type II compliance with an unqualified opinion reflects our unwavering commitment to safeguarding your data and ensuring the highest level of security.

In the interest of transparency, our SOC 2 report is available (subject to terms and conditions) for all RabbitSign users on our compliance reports page.

Wondering how RabbitSign remains sustainable as a free service? We've harnessed the power of AWS Serverless technology, ensuring that it costs less than $1 to process 1000 document signings. This enables us to offer unlimited free e-signing to businesses, nonprofits, and government entities while being both sustainable and profitable.

I'm eager to hear any feedback, suggestions, and other thoughts you might have for RabbitSign. Your input is invaluable to our mission of making e-signing accessible to all. Feel free to post a comment or reach out to me directly at [email protected].

Thank you for supporting RabbitSign, and stay tuned for more exciting developments ahead!

We show a "dumb" ad at the end of each user flow, which is enough to make a fairly large profit margin. We're also currently working on API integrations, which will be paid but at a much lower cost (likely a few cents per document sent) than current market offerings (which are normally close to a dollar per document sent).

I agree; ambiguous or poorly written questions are nothing new in high school academics. I suppose it's an interesting topic to argue over, but this question isn't anything special.

Hi HN,

This is RabbitSign, an unlimited free e-signing service.

Founded last year, RabbitSign was created out of frustration that no existing e-signing services provided a generous free tier during the pandemic.

For the past few months, RabbitSign has been in private beta for friends and family, although organic users from around the world somehow made their way to the website, including individuals, landlords, lawyers, nonprofits, small businesses, and even some of the world’s most valuable startups.

Today, RabbitSign is launching publicly. Here are some feature highlights:

Unlimited Free Usage: You can send and sign as many documents as you want, and create as many reusable templates as you want, all for free. For this same level of template usage with an e-signing service like HelloSign, you would need to call their sales rep.

Reusable Templates: For documents that you send for signatures often, you can make a template with the signature, initial, date, etc. fields already positioned. Templates can also be shared with links, which can be put on websites or in emails. The posted link in the title is an example of a template link. Feel free to try it out if you haven’t already.

Strong Privacy Protection: All documents are purged from the server 60 days after they are uploaded.

Backed by Blockchain: Once a document is signed, its hash is placed on a blockchain as the proof-of-existence.

In case you’re curious how RabbitSign is sustainable as a free service, it leverages AWS Serverless technology. It costs less than $1 to process 1000 document signings.

If you need e-signing and are tired of paying DocuSign or HelloSign, please try out RabbitSign. I’d be happy to hear any thoughts or feedback!

I agreed with you until the last paragraph, where it seems to me like you just fell into the trap you were warning us about. Not sure if that was your intention, but that's what it looks like.

The first part is definitely true though. Calling somebody an idiot is probably one of the worst ways to get them to agree with you, even if they are spouting idiocy. I won't pretend I have a solution to anti-vax beliefs, but simply calling them stupid won't make them disappear.

In the end, the government answers to the people and companies answer to shareholders. Of course I agree that companies should be ethical, but they currently have no incentive to do so other than their own morals and I'd imagine those are pretty quickly squashed in the face of shareholders looking for profits and an "everybody else is doing it" argument.

Companies like Twitter and Facebook exist and thrive because they have taken the less ethical route.
