I just published this. Feel free to ask any questions, and I'll try to answer!

This has been something I do for a while unofficially, so I decided I'll make it more official for others to see/use.

Re:Moooooonitoring the Cow.txt Herd on Saturday April 11, 2026 @04:57AM (#47728843)
I know robots.txt, I know humans.txt. But I don't get cow.txt after reading the website.
I am using it but to be honest it's simple enough to use Claude code for what I do.

the main thing I am doing is slowly cleaning up my 15k email inbox.

I'm using himalaya, an awesome cli tool to access emails, and openclaw to take my requests and make them commands and run then.

the one good thing that openclaw has over Claude code is that its easy to tell it "always remember X" and it has the ability to do it, thanks to the extra .md files it has set up. I'm sure it's easy enough to do it with Claude code and a directory with a Claude.md and another for the memory or rules. but openclaw is ready already.

is this made with AI? I saw the “not quote and quote” in the description and it reads like a failed speech-to-text.

Show HN: Collection of Browsers Info

https://browsers.party

I have always tried to find a good, exhaustive collection of desktop browsers with some info about each, and I couldn't.I decided to finally make it myself, for everyone out there. It's not pretty right now, but check it out! Let me know what you think. Add whatever is missing. And just enjoy in general! :Dhttps://browsers.partyThank you.

Oh snap! It does, but the default is also awesome, I use it default.

Out of curiosity, what options do you use? I might wanna try some.

I hid the names and arrived at my second favorite font. And then I noticed my favorite font is missing!! You should add Iosevka, it's on GitHub.

If you use Google fonts or webfonts or something for this to be easier, I also have it as a webfont on my GitHub.

Re:Why not just embed Neovim? on Friday June 14, 2024 @09:56AM (#40680941)
which vscode extension do you use? I remember the neovim one was buggy with selections, so I use the other big vim extension, vsvim or something.
Re:Why not just embed Neovim? on Friday June 14, 2024 @04:41AM (#40678878)
I might be totally wrong, but it feels like reimplementing all of vim is not easier that mapping neovim stuff to zed stuff. The author says they would lose it if they embed neovim, but I'm not yet convinced.

Nice! One thing to note is that typing on the search is case sensitive. Please make it insensitive, so I don't have to type M instead of m.
Re:Notes on making a multiplayer "doing nothing app" on Monday October 30, 2023 @11:48AM (#38071007)
This is a great video about this.

That doesn't say much. People use their phones in many ways. Some are clumsy, some are more risky.

I've been on a bicycle with a loose pocket or used it to check the map while biking. Great idea? Probably not. Happens to everyone? Absolutely not. Happens? Very much yes.

Re:Steam on Tuesday September 12, 2023 @07:39AM (#37479535)
Anything in particular?

Probably better as ordinary and extraordinary.
Re:macOS Developer Setup on Friday June 30, 2023 @06:44AM (#36532729)
asdf is the best. it's as big a game changer as brew was when it started.

there's also rtx (asdf clone but in rust) if someone wants that.

Re:Don't use custom CSS scrollbars on Monday June 12, 2023 @07:10PM (#36302690)
this post could have been way less that a million lines long. maybe if it had a nice colored scrollbar it would be more pleasant to read.

kidding aside, it is longer that it could be, to get the point across. maybe the browser just needs a similar setting to the macos and windows one, to never use css on scrollbar, and we're good?

did someone find a way to mess this up? the first 15 entries I see are a link to `fxck.you`..
Re:The Case for Not Having a TV on Friday May 05, 2023 @12:31AM (#35825248)
not "the internet", but maybe tiktok and friends.

not having a tv in 2023 is like not having a fax machine. yea, cool. you and everyone else of your generation. but like people above said, maybe you don't have a tv but you waste 4 hours a day on TikTok. I don't see how it's different. nothing to be proud of, if you're just wasting time on "tv 2.0".

Re:Why is building a UI in Rust so hard? on Saturday March 18, 2023 @09:04AM (#35208763)
the people over at https://zed.dev have done a great job. do they use something special?
Right, but some websites, say Apple, only support SMS 2FA. What about these ones? Is there a better/easier way than just giving up and putting my phone number?
looking around, seems like https://onlinesim.io/ is the one option, but a bad one, since its either for one-time use, or a very limited number of countries with $3 per day, which is a lot for long-term 2FA.
