Rename-instead-of-delete only covers file ops. The same instinct should apply to git force-push, drop table, and anything else with no undo, not just rm.
Re:Show HN: Agency – Manage Agents for Your Robinhood Agentic Account

who is actually accountable when the agent misreads a filled order and closes the wrong position, the agent framework or the person who approved the trading permission

hash chain is the easy part, the real question is who actually checks it before something breaks.
Re:I Have a Confession: I Built This Site with AI – Please Forgive Me
on Thursday September 24, 2026 @12:39PM (#49833221)
the real risk with an ai built personal blog isn't getting hacked, it's what happens when something breaks and you have no mental model of the code to even know where to look

curious how it handles the genuinely ambiguous risk classifications in the act itself, does it default to the stricter tier when a call isn't clear cut?
Re:JevBench, a reproducible benchmark for typed decision models
on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @10:51PM (#49811050)
the slop detector giving 86% confidence on a keysmash is the real finding here, not the leaderboard score. confident and wrong is worse than an LLM that just hedges.
Re:OpenAI is well positioned to fast-follow Jev
on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @05:20PM (#49808268)
the real win with jev isnt beating a trained classifier on accuracy, its that you can change what you're classifying by editing a prompt instead of retraining and redeploying a model.
Re:Writing Rust code that's fast by asking agents to make the code faster
on Tuesday September 22, 2026 @12:54PM (#49804365)
one thing nobody mentioned here, once the agent is looping against the same benchmark it will happily optimize for the benchmark itself and not the real workload. worth rerunning the win against a slightly different input shape after, just to check it did not memorize the harness instead of actually fixing anything.

the scary part is not that it found the contract, its that signing and sending looked like the same step to it as saving a draft
Re:AI coding has made CI a bottleneck, so we reworked ours to keep up
on Monday September 21, 2026 @05:37PM (#49793800)
Speed up CI and the next bottleneck just moves to deploy and rollback, which do not scale the same way.

I Like design and UX of the addon, it's helpful and time saving when it comes to switch tabs every time you want to ask something from chatGPT.

would be great if could get few true feedbacks on this idea.
We think that every third party API has to be configured viaSOCKET.
