Two root partions with one stable debian and another bleeding edge is an option. And a common big home partition for accomodating flatpaks which can be shared by both.

Indian philosophy discarded physical well-being and the so called 'living standard' thing. Instead efforts were to optimize inner well-being. They realized pointless material pleasure will lead you nowhere and the craving for better environment only grow exponentially ad infinitum.

This is a big step in the right direction to rein big tech. 100% inter operability based on common and accepted standards should be the next step. For eg. XMPP for messaging etc. I don't use Whatapp, and remain unconnected due to the mass adoption of that product.

Purely money making, business oriented, billionaire oligarch-run,100% opaque big tech deciding day to day proceedings is a serious concern. On the other hand snooping by governments is an issue but it is an elected body and replacble should they go wrong. Either way privacy is screwed for users.

Re:That Ban(e) of Indian Music: Hearing Politics in the Harmonium [pdf]
on Tuesday May 24, 2022 @01:40AM (#31488402)
Hatmonium is not at all suitable for Carnatic music because it can not render gamaka (complex blending of notes back and forth at varied speed and levels) which is the crux of that system. Hindustani music has only limited stress on such complex treatment of gamaka. So it is widely used in Hindustani music.
