Re:DeepSeek-V4-Flash Update on Friday July 31, 2026 @04:31AM (#49120502)
I've been using DeepSeek directly. I've heard from colleagues that using it via OpenRouter is slower, but I'm not so sure about that.

One thing I like with Aider is the fact that I can control the context by using /add explicitly on a subset of files. Can you achieve the same wit OpenCode ?
And logiops too: https://github.com/PixlOne/logiops

I recently purchased the MX Master 4, and it was easy to remap the gesture buttons and configure features like SmartShift and high-resolution scrolling.

Aren't you limited with Workers ? Like would you be able to deploy a OCaml or a Haskell application using it ?
Looks like the author has also written magit integration for it: https://github.com/dandavison/magit-delta

Any user feedback on how it is (perf etc) ?

This is an interesting approach. These days I have completely switched to just[0] tool for similar use case.

Kent's reply in that thread has more details.

I was going through Opencost documentation which this project uses and it looks you need to setup AWS Athena if you want the cloud cost to be displayed for AWS: https://www.opencost.io/docs/configuration/aws#aws-cloud-cos...

Does the Athena does the actual processing/computation of costs ? What is the usual cost for running Athena ?

It also seems strange that I have to put the IAM keys into secrets instead of using IAM role for service account for configuring it.

Re:OpenTF renames itself to OpenTofu on Wednesday September 20, 2023 @09:39AM (#37583974)
Is OpenTofu also planning to maintain the language server (terraform-ls) or is that not within the scope ? I was not able to find any language server related repository.
Re:Show HN: Postgres Language Server on Sunday August 06, 2023 @09:10AM (#37021528)
This looks nice!

As someone interested in developing a client for it, I'm interested in couple of things: what are the features supported by it currently, the tweak-able configuration that can be passed to it and the various code action available. I like the way nil language server has documented it (https://github.com/oxalica/nil/tree/main/docs). Is there something equivalent available for this ?

For the last couple of years, I have been using a combination of Clocking commands [0] in Emacs along with org-journal. It has been working well enough for me. Although, I had to send some patches to org-journal initially to suit my workflow.

Re:Asdf Performance on Saturday August 13, 2022 @12:17AM (#32446853)
For terraform and terragrunt, I have been using tfswitch and tgswitch respectively.

Also tfswitch has the ability to parse the required_version constraint in the terraform file and switch to the appropriate version based on that which I find quite handy.

Re:The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Makefiles on Saturday August 13, 2022 @12:04AM (#32446787)
I don't think just is trying to be a build system. It's major focus is as a task runner and in that space it does it's job well IMO.

The recommendation is now to use Cairo + HarfBuzz instead. There are more details here: https://github.com/emacs-mirror/emacs/blob/master/etc/NEWS.2...
Re:Learn Awk with Emacs (2020) on Saturday February 19, 2022 @10:33AM (#30397836)
I learnt it via the org babel way too and published my notes when I finished the chapters of the book: https://psibi.in/awk/

The whole interactive experience of evaluating awk script and tinkering with it in a single place, greatly helped while learning it.

Re:Tailscale on NixOS: A New Minecraft Server in Ten Minutes on Wednesday January 20, 2021 @04:19AM (#25844300)
It isn't built on top of a Debian or a rpm based distro. It is a separate distribution itself: https://nixos.org/

But you can try it's package manager nix and it's package set nixpkgs in any other Linux distribution.

Re:Container networking is simple (2020) on Wednesday January 20, 2021 @02:25AM (#25843520)
I was in the same boat and I found Michael Lucas book quite good for getting the practical working knowledge: https://books.google.co.in/books/about/Networking_for_System...

It tries to address the concepts and the book covers for multiple operating system like Windows, Linux, BSD and even has Some Solaris tidbits. :-)
