I wrote a client-side library for this: http://onloop.net/transit http://onloop.net/chennairailmap

All the transport maps at that time I knew about, like Swisstrains (http://maps.vasile.ch/transit-sbb/), worked off webservers, so that was the motivation behind writing a purely client-side app.

Life support, obviously

Thanks! To tell you the truth, I didn't know about GTFS until after I finished it up, and I'm working on GTFS support now :)

I think it only shows the tweets with locations turned on.

You're right. Seeing as I've been using the term 'histogram' in place of 'bar chart' all the time, that's some life-changing information right there.

Re:Poll: How do you learn new technologies? on Monday June 24, 2013 @11:03PM (#5937270)
Exactly this. That "I need to get this done" urge drives me to go through the tutorial/book that I previously did not complete due to lack of direction/need.
Thanks! I've included the corresponding URLs along with the sanitized URLs in the description now, to clear some things up. I'll see if I can make it more intuitive.

Great app! I could use the additional features, as I've been using the plain text mode in the browser so far.

"data:text/html, <html contenteditable>" in the browser's address bar, that is.

That pulsar has been my desktop background for a few years now. Brutally honest, cathartic album and one of the first ones where I 'identified with' the music and the art.

Web 3.0 is here!
Re:Time and Money on Sunday May 05, 2013 @03:52AM (#5657770)
I agree with the sentiment, but there are people who feel equally satisfied and happy contributing money and resources to noble causes whilst keeping their time to themselves.
Move to a place where there's a good load of startup culture around, so you can network a bit. Bangalore, for starters.
