I wasn't expecting the PS4 or XBone to have any media drive, just a hdd and wireless/wired internet connection.

Guess we're still a little ways away from that. I remember using Steam when it was new for HL2. I cracked open a beer to enjoy while it downloaded, happy i didn't have to drive for a half hour or so to pick up a copy at gamestop.

I had good broadband. However, it took all day and evening until around 2-3 AM for it to finish downloading. Things were over saturated i guess. I didn't re-use steam until a decade later since it left such a poor impression with their one 33.6 modem uploading the game to everyone.

Horray, music_autoplay=1. I remember Myspace.

Cool demo, but like 99% of the rest of the world, listen to music while i browse so almost instant-closed out when music blasted out.

Re:Working remotely is hard on Sunday November 15, 2015 @07:42PM (#10571963)
Love remote work. With so many companies online now it should be a lot easier to get jobs like this.

Save money by not commuting daily. No suit dry cleaning each week. Eat tasty home made food and leftovers. Way way way way wayyyyy less stress than dressing up looking brighteyed and having to sit at a desk all day so your slave owners can stare at you not working for 8 hours plus two 15 minute breaks plus 30 minutes "lunch"

Do Not buy TP-Link hardware if you run Windows 10

Hope this is ok to post up here:I have a t4u wireless usb adapter which sporadically works. TP link claims they're going to release Windows 10 drivers, but it's been months and they've abandoned their own forums and email support.I've purchased a Archer T4UH USB adapter which doesn't work in Windows 10 at all, no matter what i try. You guessed it, it's all over their forums how it doesn't work...

I guess i'm the only one who's happy enough with Windows 10. What i'm not happy about is lazy companies not making updated drivers for Win10.

TP-Link i'm looking at you

I also liked the presentation, that looked pretty slick to me.

I love it too, read it every few years. Great book.
I didn't understand prime video. I tried to watch a movie when i had prime, following their link for the "free videos!"

Only to find that it was 5 bucks for every stream or something. Ok. Searched out ghostbusters or something older, guess what? $5. Also no way to sort by free for prime, at least not then.

Don't have prime anymore, and these days amazon is around 10-15% more than what you can easily google elsewhere. Miss the shipping priority though, but as soon as you drop prime, expect them to wait 7 days before bothering to package your stuff and ship it out.

It's interesting to hear more about the video game industry insides.

I wonder if id's success helped start this atmosphere. (Read masters of doom)

They were portrayed as rockstars, friends, who busted ass and made a popular game which made them all rich.

I fell for that idea when i was young, luckily i never got into the industry. I later read some blog post of an EA developer's wife or something, going on and on how much he had to work and wasn't compensated for it, etc.

Is there a “coupon” stuffer for website shopping carts?

Like a password stuffer, except for active coupon codes.I worked for a website which had various weekly coupon offers, sometimes very great deals. They also used generic "coupon1,2,3" codes on the backend, still active on the live site to archive the various specials. When the specials get deactivated, the coupons1,2,3 all remain active.Just so if you say, go to totallyawesomemugs.com and...

Thank you. Am i the only one still on a desktop? I can't stand shit video players with no progress bar and no volume control.
This is scary. If the TPP passes, drug pricing will suddenly rise in every country, not just USA.
All great answers. Thanks for the links here!

Remember mid 90's RAM prices? Suddenly, prices dropped. What happened?

I was remembering how expensive simms used to be in the early-mid 90's, and then suddenly prices started dropping. Not slowly, it was like a giant meteorite made out of RAM slammed into the planet and now we have it all over the place just on the ground, so pricing had to drastically go down. What happened exactly? Was it a patent that got invalidated or expired? Was it just a new series of...

A liter of redbull subsitute? You sound like an addict just since you're talking quantities of caffeine.

I hope you get past this. it's especially difficult because a lot of people don't realize caffene is a drug. Like watching a couple who drink three bottles of wine a day talk down on someone for drinking a liter of spirits as an alcoholic.

They're one and the same.

For those that don't want to register, just delete the http://url and then search for the rest. Click the link from Google or whatever and the page will load without the register popup.

SEO baby.
