Show HN: Currentai.news – Minimal AI news aggregator with NLP clustering

https://currentai.news

I built a minimalist AI news aggregator while teaching myself NLP. It's a single static HTML page that updates every 4-6 hours with clustered AI news stories - no accounts, no cookies, no JS frameworks.Technical approach: - Python scraper for AI/tech sources - Custom NLP pipeline with BERT embeddings to filter for AI-specific content - Hierarchical clustering to group related stories - ChatGPT...

yes - I seem to have a pagination issue that I am working through. I'll keep you updated. Thank you so much.
I reverted some of my CSS and I think I've solved the CSS issues for the KPI cards and the datepicker + filter. Hope this improves the experience and thanks for the feedback.
hi mspehton - thank you so much for logging in and giving it a shot.

1) I haven't tackled this use-case yet - added it to my roadmap. I'll give it a shot tonight itself and hopefully have some working code soon! 2) I'll look into the mobile-view CSS. I made some changes recently and I can see that this has messed up the KPIs and filters.

As a solo dev, I am not sure how to keep UI regressions in check. This is something I need to look into!

Thanks again for your feedback - means a lot!

Show HN: ScottFish – A simple GA4 analytics dashboard built out of frustration

https://www.scottfish.com/

When Google forced the switch from UA to GA4, I found myself struggling to understand my magazine's performance metrics (I occasionally edit a magazine along with my full-time job).So I built a dashboard that pulls GA4 data and presents it in a clean, intuitive interface focused on metrics that actually matter. It made the job of pulling reports and usage stats very simple for my website and...

I have my eyes on a T490 - I've used ThinkPads in the past, and they are fabulous. I still do love Macs - their build quality is exceptional and the stability of the macOS is something I appreciate. I've never had a Win machine last 5+ years. YMMV

It sure looks like that ... the lack of ports is a bummer though.

Unfortunately, the screen has a bad case of staingate and it's very annoying. After all these years, the trackpad has died and some keys. I might just get it repaired to see if I can eek out a few more months/years from it.

Ask HN: Buy the M1 MacBook Pro or Wait for M2?

My usage: blogging, image and video editing, podcasting. I don't program any longer and even if I do, it'll probably be putting together shell scripts and some python for text processing. The heaviest usage will be using FFmpeg for some video processing, that my 2015 Macbook Pro handles well enough (for comparison).

I am not sure if this actually works, but, I've always steered clear of "Learn x in y days" kind of learning.

THe best video processing and editing tool ever made!
Re:Ubuntu Mate on Monday November 16, 2020 @04:58AM (#25109994)
I've tried it and it reminded me of the old Debian using Gnome 2 which I absolutely enjoyed. I ended up using the "MacOS" theme in Mate which comes with useful key-bindings and shortcuts. Plus, it isn't much of a resource hog.

You can reduce its impact by adjusting the opacity while doing the overlay.

Do you mean that they look cartoonish-ly fast or slow? It could come down the frame-rate of the camera used for video capture.
