It's disgusting. It's exploiting people's addictions and their economic situations.
You could be presenting the most carefully-researched text in the world, but with such obviously machine made paper I'm not going to attempt to read it.
So you think the a lead researcher at Anthropic is confusing LLM's and agentic systems? That's not really a conclusion you should come to.

You crazy for this one, Will, It's yer boy
I have a deep rooted doubt that "roughly everyone can now benefit from its content" If there's any value in the content it will immediately be monetized with an aggressive pay structure and had it sat in a library, that same value would be free.
Who knew Ray Bradbury could be so wrong.

A nightmare scenario would be that people become so accustomed to talking to agreeable AI, that they lose the inability to talk to anything that disagrees with them or has different perspectives with responses that don't include stroking the ego.
Re:Show HN: I'm launching a LPFM radio station on Tuesday February 17, 2026 @03:47PM (#47053082)
Thats awesome. I'm a huge fan of KEXP and WFMU. I love radio stations like this. I just signed up for your newsletter. I have it on my listen list and will stay tuned here on the East Coast.
I have paid versions of Chat-GPT and Anthropic and set them both to the best model and they both told me to walk.

Claude told me: "Walk! At 25 meters, you'd barely get the car started before you arrived. It's faster and easier on foot — plus you avoid the awkwardness of driving a dirty car just a few seconds down the road."

Re:Animated Knots on Thursday February 05, 2026 @08:55PM (#46908026)
How are more people not obsessed with knots?

It's the purest form of human creativity! It's nothing but a strait line and humans have figured out how to twist and turn it into a million different objects and endless uses. Our entire species has propelled itself into a realm of knowledge built on the fundamental twisting of a simple lines and observing those properties.

The clothes you wear are knots. Every surgery you have ends in knots. The combined effect of knots on our technology and understanding of the world is fascinating.

Only humans can see a rope, have a picture in their heads of what it should look like and then set forth on creating it. It's just such a precious nugget of what it means to be human and have the urge to fuck around with shit.

It'd be cool if we could add a feature that places an ad inside the ad. Sort of like Ad-ception.
As someone who practices music 2 to 3 hours a day. I love this. I think people are coming at it as if it were a video game or designed to be a "portfolio project" but as a musician, I think you really created something awesome and lets me practice on what I'm most insecure about....my ear.
