The paywall bypass part is what concerns me. All they do for paywall bypass is have an optional checkbox that allows users to use the BPC filterlist, not the main extension that will pretty much bypass all paywalls. The filterlist is pretty hit or miss a lot of times.
But, if some kind of precedent gets set by this, it could jeopardize the legal standing of ad blockers & blocking certain type of content in your own browser. Too early to know if it would actually ever play out like that, however.
"suppress slop"
What does that mean?
We have models right now such as Qwopus, which are Qwen with open weights and using
distilled Claude responses in it's training data. Since AI can't be copywritten, distillation is the way forward to getting rid of these proprietary models.
Qwopus is a family of open-weight, reasoning-enhanced large language models developed by community fine-tuner Jackrong, designed to run efficiently on consumer hardware. The models are built on Alibaba’s Qwen3.5 or Qwen3.6 base architectures and are fine-tuned using Trace Inversion to distill the step-by-step reasoning chains of Anthropic’s Claude Opus (versions 4.6 and 4.7).[1]

An excellent analogy for doing away with free markets and going back to, at the very least, mixed economys with some sort of oversight to prevent these kinds of things from happening again.

I'm not familiar with WAP Push and how it works, but is it possible to disable it or block that port on a non-rooted phone?
Well, they said it again
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The company assessed that supply, on the other hand, is not keeping pace with the growth of the market. Given technical difficulty of leading-edge processes and the long lead time required to build new production facilities, it expects the structure in which demand exceeds supply to persist through 2030.[1]

Businesses who validate phone numbers often use an API (like Twilio Lookup or one of the many, many other services) to check for VoIP numbers and automatically reject them most of the time. Unfortunately, lots of VoIP is used in fraud, so the will often just reject them out of hand. If this is happening, none of the other "virtual" number services will work and you'll want to get a cheap eSIM.
I think this is a great idea, but I'm not qualified to comment on how good the design or concept is or anything like that. But a printer not made by the big printer companies where you can buy/refill your own ink, repair it & etc would definitely be a welcome product.
Very cool. I hope they get some NA server locations as ControlD has them beat there. Hagezi's DNS only use their Pro list + TIF, but if you wanted to use Normal or Light ControlD would still be a good option. I keep their TIF list in adblock.

I used NextDNS for a long time, but they offer absolutely zero support for their customers.
I ended up just switching to Control D's free tier using the Hagezi blocklist. You can try Normal, Pro & Pro+ for typical usage (I stick to pro normally). That + Brave and I'm pretty much ad free.

It's really a shame Opera didn't open source the Presto engine.
I think this got posted here the other day and is a study with an interesting premise, which is to look at historical bluebook reports and see if there are correlation to known nuclear tests going on at or around the same time and I believe other astrological events (bright stars or etc - I forget exactly).
But, that could be other possibly freely available data sets you could add to your project, such as if there's known planets in high visibility, geothermal storms, SpaceX launches, satellite falls, maybe flight radar data if that freely exists, and so on.
Anyway very interesting! You might see what the ufo/uap community on reddit thinks about it.
Transients in the Palomar Observatory Sky Survey (POSS-I) may be associated with nuclear testing and reports of unidentified anomalous phenomena

Can someone explain this to me?? You can connect any Bluetooth device to a satellite for what purpose?
What specifically is broken?
Any details about what's going on? Is Nitter/their Github still up?
How long is a typical task and what would be the payment come out to in USD for that amount?
It's Vice City, not GTA3.
That would be great, of course. I have found a ready made Flying Toaster screensaver floating around and used that. But, I figured if someone had done it for Mac, surely there'd be a Windows version out there.
I appreciate the link, but as far as using it aa a screen saver, that's not what I'm looking for.
I would think if this mac After Dark project is open source, the assets would be available to use in other software.
I need this for Windows.
The After Dark screensavers are on the internet archive, but obviously they look and run like crap since they're made for Windows 3.x to maybe 95/98.
Can we just download the uncensored model ourselves?
There should be a class action lawsuit against the manufacturers of this stuff that have been defrauding us by claiming it works since ephedrine and pseudoephedrine was banned in 2005. They include it in countless formulas, like daytime cold and flu and so on and so forth.
Phenylephrine does, however, work when sprayed directly in the nasal passages, but like it's counterpart, Afrin (oxymetazoline hcl), it's addictive and only works for 4 hours.
