What client/OS are you seeing that on? It's the Apple logo's unicode character code I suppose.
Hey HN. This is my second experiment trying to find interesting and novel ways to communicate using wearable devices.

My wife and I use this to tell each other how our days are going, remind each other of things, and send silly little mini messages to each other. Has been fun.

Let me know what you think.

Interesting perspective. Thanks for taking the time to check it out and send your thoughts!
There are now screenshots. Hopefully gives you a better sense of how the app is supposed to work.
Good point. Hadn't thought of that. The promotion / marketing side of things is definitely something I'm learning as I go along.
Have been thinking the popular social apps are failing at the job of making me feel connected to the people I'm closest with. My experiences generally amount to feeds of funny cat pictures, buzzfeed articles, reposted news stories, and photos from random birthdays posted by friends who I haven't seen in years.

This early version of Glancd (launched this week!) is an attempt to solve that problem by creating social in a way that makes me feel a part of the lives of my closest friends and family.

Concept: A message message board where the forums are the people you know and the threads are the things they do.

Compliments or criticism welcome!

Re:When do YC W16 invites go out? on Wednesday October 28, 2015 @04:37PM (#10467216)
Not sure if nervous is the right word. Excited perhaps. YC is just one path which might lead to whatever goal you have.

Am not expecting much, but would be pleasantly surprised should I have the chance to meet the partners for an interview. Otherwise it's heads down making things happen!

Is interesting how much influence Consumer Reports wields relative to other publications that review and rate products.

Don't own a Tesla, or have an opinion on their reliability, but wonder sometimes if we don't need a Consumer Reports for Consumer Reports.

It's not surprising large numbers of internet users in emerging markets skipped the web entirely. Delivering product via SMS and chat starts to make a lot of sense in context.
